Anytime BMW unleashes a new model, the question for buyers is not whether the price will be hefty, but to what degree. Will it be $40,000? $50,000? More?
In the case of BMW’s new X6, things get pretty expensive pretty fast. The crossover wagon’s two trims, the xDrive 35i and the xDrive 50i start at $52,000 and $63,000, respectively, and can rise quickly. There’s the Sport Package, the Premium Sound Package, the Rear Climate Package, and so on; before you know it, $70,000 has passed you by. A small price to pay for some, but given that we’re still not sure about the X6’s place at the BMW table, that could be one hefty price tag.
