BMW Introduces the 2013 320i at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show

In terms of fuel economy, BMW expects manual-equipped versions to get 22/34 mpg city/highway and 23/33 mpg for models with the eight-speed automatic. An all-wheel-drive 320i xDrive – available only with the eight-speed automatic – gets an estimated 22/33 mpg. Fuel-saving technology found on both models includes auto start/stop and an Eco Pro driving mode.

Standard features include Bluetooth smartphone integration, leatherette upholstery and 17-inch alloy wheels. Various 18-inch lightweight alloy wheel designs are optional, as is a Sport Package that features M-tuned steering and suspension, sport seats and a higher top speed. Certain available luxury features from the upper-level 328i and 335i models will trickle down to the 320i model — expect to see heated seats and steering wheel, backup camera, BMW Apps and in-car communication system, a moonroof, adaptive xenon headlamps and navigation.

Set to go on sale this spring, the rear-wheel-drive 320i starts at $33,445, making it the least expensive 3-Series model. The available 320i xDrive all-wheel drive model starts at $35,455. All prices include an $895 destination fee.
