The redesigned 2012 BMW 3 Series is roomier and more powerful for the model year, and it gets better gas mileage, too. There are a few minor glitches, however, with the new version, according to Cars.com Executive Editor Joe Wiesenfelder. The suspension allows more body motion and the auto start/stop system is somewhat intrusive, says Wiesenfelder, though the new standard four-cylinder is responsive off-the-line.
