Today marks the first day of the annual Barrett-Jackson collector car auction in Scottsdale, Ariz. There will be almost 2,000 classic cars sold under the big tent over the next week for outrageous sums of money. The sale led classic car businessman McKeel Hagerty to come up with his top 10 list of new cars that should be hot future collectibles. We’re not entirely sure on how he came up with the list, but he seems to have excluded the all-important exclusivity factor of some special trims. Check out Haggerty’s list and one we whipped up in five minutes, and tell us what you think in the comments. Remember, even the most expensive new car we list probably costs less than most of those on the block at Barrett-Jackson, plus they come with a warranty.
