GM Commercial to Make Case for Bankruptcy

Amid bizarre sports imagery (of non-Detroit teams) and classic iconography (moon landing) GM’s first post-bankruptcy commercial hopes to reinvent its image. There’s no word of where this commercial may play — it may just be an internet campaign —but it certainly doesn’t pull many punches.

It also highlights only the four “core” brands GM has touted recently: Chevrolet, Cadillac, GMC and Buick. It shows off the new Buick LaCrosse, Chevy Camaro and Cadillac SRX.

What do you think of the commercial? Is it the right tone? Are the images off-putting?
