Seats Affected: Approximately 148,000 Harmony Big Boost Deluxe backless booster seats manufactured between November 1, 2015 and June 24, 2017. You can find your booster’s manufacture date on a sticker on the bottom of the booster.
The Problem: In the event of a crash, the seat belt may cause excessive force to be applied to the restrained child’s chest, increasing the risk of injury.
The Fix: The remedy for this recall is still under development. Make sure your booster is registered so you receive updated recall information.
What Owners Should Do: Harmony has not yet provided an owner-notification schedule. Owners can call the manufacturer at 877-306-1001, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit NHTSA’s website to learn more.
