Honda Fit Ownership Costs After 3,000 Miles
If our long-term ownership experience of the all-new 2015 Honda Fit EX is anything like the 2013 Honda Civic we drove for 15,000 miles two years ago, then this *should* be the start of a painless year in the Fit; as long as the wheels stay on the car, anyway. We racked up quite the bill to replace a stolen wheel and tire as well as install multiple sets of wheel locks in an attempt to prevent handing out any more freebies.

In addition to the Honda accessory wheel locks (one on each wheel) installed at the dealership, we also ordered a different style wheel lock for the remaining lugs to give us multiple wheel lock styles on the same wheel. Is that a guaranteed theft deterrent? Hardly, but we’re hoping it will add another layer of complication for would-be thieves.
We also ponied up for Honda’s HondaLink HDMI adapter kit ($113.61) and proprietary navigation application ($63.74) to display navigation via an iPhone 6 on the Fit’s 7-inch touch-screen. The Fit EX doesn’t have a factory navigation system — limited to the EX-L trim — and HondaLink lets owners use an app and compatible phone to display navigation like a factory-integrated system.
