Each year the arbiters of luxury descend on Pebble Beach, Calif., for the Concours d’Elegance. Imagine an exclusive country-club setting with gorgeous classic cars — worth more than the average home — on display and you have the Concours d’Elegance appropriately pictured. It could also be considered the antithesis to the blue-collar Woodward Dream Cruise we mentioned yesterday.
Anyway, for the past few years Lexus has used the event to roll out a special edition of its hardtop convertible, the SC. This year is no different. The 2007 SC Pebble Beach Edition features an exclusive Starfire Pearl paint job, Pimento Red leather interior and maple wood trim. There’s even a Pebble Beach logo stitched into the floormats.
There are a number of other options, including 18-inch alloy wheels, a Mark Levinson sound system and the requisite badging in brushed aluminum. This rendition is limited to a mere 400 examples going on sale in September.
