CARS.COM — Lexus is following up the smash introduction of its LC 500 luxury coupe at this year’s North American International Auto Show in Detroit with another unveiling set for March at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show. The LC 500h will be a hybrid version of the gorgeous coupe, featuring what the company calls its next-generation Multi Stage Hybrid System.
No details are yet available on what this new hybrid system will entail, but Lexus has tended to offer two schools of thought on this: front-wheel-drive fuel economy-minded systems, like those in the CT 200h or ES 300h, or rear-wheel-drive performance-oriented versions, like those on the GS 450h and LS 600h L. The new LC 500h likely will take the latter type. We’ll find out in a few weeks when the LC 500h makes its world debut at the Geneva show. Look for our coverage, live and in person.
