Mini unveiled its redesigned-for-2014 Hardtop at the Los Angeles Auto Show, and the brand is wasting no time teasing the coupe’s future models. Although it’s a concept in name, there’s no doubt that the performance-oriented version of the hatchback will eventually make it to the new Hardtop’s lineup.
The John Cooper Works concept is based on the new Hardtop, which is longer, wider and lighter than the outgoing model. John Cooper Works specific cues include Bright Highways Grey exterior paint with red accents, large air intakes that replace fog lights, LED headlights and a black grille surround. Other aerodynamic-enhancing body features include specially contoured side skirts, a rear apron with flaps, a diffuser element and a roof spoiler. Check out the gallery below.
