OnStar Can Now Find Exact Location of Accident Victims

Rather than OnStar advisors guiding emergency services to the scene of the crash, ALI data display will electronically transmit precise coordinates of the vehicle, including longitude and latitude. The 911 center will relay the information to first responders with almost no margin of error.

The new service also uses Microsoft’s satellite imaging for precise details of the surroundings, including information like if the car is in water or near a bridge.
