Ram Announces Limited-Production 1500 Rebel, TRX Lunar Editions

Since launching the TRX off-road hot rod for 2021, Ram has kept up a steady cadence of special-edition 1500 light-duty pickup trucks — Launch, Red, Sandblast, Limited Elite, the list goes on. Next in line is the new Lunar Edition, and following the established pattern, it’s really just a unique color scheme. This time, it’s not just the TRX getting the special treatment; Ram is also applying it to the 1500 Rebel, so buyers without TRX coin can get in on the fun.

Both trucks come in a ceramic gray paint and wear their respective Rebel or TRX bed and hood graphics and black badging, bumpers and wheels. The TRX does away with the model’s standard lower-body cladding, showing off the custom hue all the way down to the rockers and adding black 18-inch beadlock-capable wheels, a panoramic moonroof, bedliner, cargo tie-downs and a bed step.

The TRX Lunar Edition comes with the 702-horsepower, supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 engine and is equipped with the Level 2 Equipment Group, which makes for a more luxurious Baja bomber. The package includes a 19-speaker Harman Kardon stereo, keyless entry and ignition, heated and ventilated seats, power-adjustable aluminum pedals, an integrated trailer-brake controller, wireless charging pad and a bevy of safety tech. Inside, the special edition features blue accent stitching, carbon-fiber accents, a carbon-fiber and leather flat-bottom steering wheel, unique badging and a head-up display.

The Rebel Lunar Edition upgrades follow the same pattern but without the same complement of luxury features. It’s only available with the 395-hp, 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 and comes with gloss black 18-inch wheels, black mirrors, a 12-inch touchscreen and heated front seats.

Pricing and Availability

The company isn’t sharing specific numbers, but both Lunar Editions will be produced in a limited run and if previous special editions are an indication, expect a number in the high hundreds for the TRX and around a thousand for the Rebel. Pricing for the Ram 1500 Rebel Lunar Edition will be $72,205 and for the TRX Lunar Edition will be $108,340 (both include an $1,895 destination charge). The trucks will be available in late spring.
