“After 19,000 miles, the only issue has been one recall for steering issues. A creaking sound that was somewhere in the front passenger side of the vehicle under the hood was fixed after several visits to the dealer. This sound could only be heard when driving over speed bumps or backing out of driveways. I’m also having problems with the push-button start. Sometimes my car won’t start (this has only happened recently) when I press the start button. This has happened four times total. It usually starts after several attempts. The dealership is still investigating this isolated starter issue.Minor problems are to be expected with new-model-year vehicles. The service at Hyundai is great and loaner cars are given when needed.
“Despite these issues I would purchase this car again and plan to trade my 2011 SE for a 2011 Sonata SE turbo. For the options, value, performance and sportiness of this vehicle, there’s no better buy. Did I mention the five-star crash rating? Great job, Hyundai! By the way, my 2006 Sonata has a flawless track record and no issues at 130,000 miles.”
