Vehicles Affected: Approximately 16,900 model-year 2004-06 B-Series pickup trucks have been recalled as part of the ongoing Takata airbag inflator recalls (similar in scope to the recent ).Â
The Problem: Previously recalled for defective passenger-side airbags, the B-Series pickups are now being recalled for defective driver-side airbags.
The Fix: Dealers will inspect and replace the airbag module at no cost to owners.
What Owners Should Do: Owners can call Mazda at 800-222-5500 or contact their local Mazda dealer to verify that their vehicle is part of the recall and to schedule service. Owners also can use the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle identification number look-up tool.
