Vehicles Affected: Nearly 26,000 model-year 2004-06 Suzuki Verona sedans manufactured between June 2003 and October 2005

The Problem: Heat may be generated within the daytime running lights module in the instrument panel, which could melt the module, possibly causing a vehicle fire.

The Fix: Suzuki will notify owners, and dealers will replace the DRL module in the instrument panel for free. The automaker has not yet announced a notification schedule.

What Owners Should Do: Owners can call Suzuki at 800-934-0934, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or go to www.safercar.gov for more info.
