Recall Alert: 2004-2008 Chevrolet Aveo

Vehicles Affected: Approximately 218,000 model-year 2004-08 Chevrolet Aveo cars equipped with daytime running lights.

The Problem: In the affected vehicles, heat may be generated within the daytime running lights module, which could melt it and cause a fire.

What Owners Should Do: GM does not yet have a fix for this recall, and the automaker hasn’t provided a customer notification schedule, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
