Vehicles Affected: Approximately 91,000 model-year 2006-10 Pontiac Solstice sports cars and model-year 2007-10 Saturn Sky sports cars
The Problem: The passenger airbag suppression system sensor may become bent or damaged within the front passenger seat, possibly disabling the front passenger airbag and increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
The Fix: The remedy for this recall is still under development.
What Owners Should Do: Pontiac and Saturn manufacturer GM has not yet provided a notification schedule. Owners can call Pontiac at 800-762-2737, Saturn at 800-553-6000, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236 or visit www.safercar.gov to check their vehicle identification number and learn more.
