Recall Alert: 2013-2014 Jaguar XF

Vehicles Affected: Nearly 70 model-year 2013-14 Jaguar XF luxury sedans manufactured between Oct. 18, 2012, and Feb. 25, 2014

The Problem: The right-hand brake pipe may wear against a bracket on the rear subframe, which could cause the brake pipe to wear through and leak brake fluid; this could lengthen braking distances, increasing the risk of a crash.

The Fix: Jaguar will notify owners starting July 29, and dealers will inspect the rear brake pipe for signs of wear, manipulate the bracket on the rear subframe, and inspect and replace the rear brake pipes if wear is visible. The automaker will make the repairs for free.
