The fuel tanks in the affected vehicles may not seal properly at the top of the tank, increasing the risk of a fuel leak and possible fire. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the vehicles being recalled are low-emission vehicle (LEV) II rated and were manufactured Jan. 15 through April 5, 2013. “Honda is not aware of any crashes or injuries related to this issue, which was discovered during warranty repairs,” the automaker said in a statement.

Honda will begin notifying affected owners on Aug. 2 and dealers will replace the fuel tank for free. Owners can call Honda at 800-999-1009 and select option 4 or NHTSA’s vehicle safety hotline at 888-327-4236 for more info.
