Vehicles Affected: About 468 model-year 2014 Infiniti QX80 SUVs manufactured between Dec. 2, 2013, and Jan. 27, 2014, and equipped with 20-inch wheels.

The Problem: The certification label incorrectly lists the gross axle weight rating as 4,497 pounds when it should be 4,343 pounds. This could result in the vehicle being overloaded, increasing the risk of a crash.

The Fix: Infiniti parent company, Nissan, will notify owners starting this month and mail corrected certification labels to owners for free.

What Owners Should Do: Owners can call Infiniti at 800-662-6200 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s vehicle-safety hotline at 888-327-4236, or go to www.safercar.gov, for more info.
