22178769 1425510523851 jpeg

Child-Safety Seats Affected: 2,962 versions of the Orbit G2 car seat base; only model numbers ORB822000 manufactured from March 20 through July 20, 2013, with batch numbers A0840, A0860, or A0880 are affected.

The Problem: According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the StrongArm Knob component of the car seat base, which is intended to secure it, could become detached or spin. If the seat is not properly secured, the child could be injured in a car crash.

The Fix: Registered owners will be notified this month, and the manufacturer will provide a free remedy kit along and repair instructions. Register your car seat here.

What Owners Should Do: Owners can contact Orbit Baby Customer Service at 877-672-2229 or the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration at 888-327-4236 for more information.
