CARS.COM — The New York International Auto Show is a few weeks away, but Subaru is already tipping its hand about its big show debut: The 2017 Impreza.

Both the hatchback and sedan versions will bow at the show, and Subaru says the full redesign aims to upgrade the car’s technology as well as to give the car a more spacious interior and revised exterior.

The 2017 Impreza redesign will be Subaru’s first use of the new global platform that it says eventually will be used throughout its lineup. A concept version of the new Impreza was shown last fall at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

The rest of the details are slight, though Subaru — as one would expect — says the Impreza will continue with the brand’s standard all-wheel drive. The car will make its debut during the automaker’s press conference on March 23, so check back on Cars.com/news for the details then.
