General Motors didn’t take long to follow Wednesday’s announcement of the Pontiac Solstice GXP’s price with news on its Saturn sibling. The Sky’s high performance model, dubbed Red Line, will start at $27,895 when it goes on sale this fall. That’s almost $2,000 more than the Solstice GXP.
The Sky Red Line features the exact same 2.0-liter turbo four-cylinder engine as the Pontiac, producing 260 hp and 260 pounds-feet of torque. GM says it will reach 60 mph in 5.5 seconds. That’s faster than a Hemi-powered Dodge Charger. Not too shabby.
