Subaru Announces 2015 WRX and WRX STI Pricing
The wait is over for cheap-speed buyers anxiously looking forward to Subaru’s next-generation performance-oriented Impreza. An automatic transmission and sedan-only body styles may make brand loyalists’ cringe, but the pricing remains familiar for the WRX and WRX STI scheduled to hit dealerships this spring.

Pricing only increases $300 for a 268-horsepower 2015 WRX base model with a six-speed manual, which starts at $27,090, including a $795 destination charge. The 2015 WRX features a larger interior, larger front brakes, stiffer chassis, standard backup camera and improved fuel economy over the previous WRX. Head over to the WRX STI and pricing for the more-potent 305-hp sedan is unchanged for 2015, starting at $35,290.
The 2015 WRX is available in base, Premium and Limited trims with a standard six-speed manual transmission replacing the old five-speed unit while a new continuously variable automatic transmission option joins the manual in Premium and Limited trims only.
A WRX Premium adds $2,200 to the base model’s pricing and includes an All-Weather Package with heated front seats and heated side mirrors; it also has a moonroof and fog lights. The Limited bumps pricing $1,500 over a Premium and includes everything from the Premium plus leather upholstery, an eight-way power driver’s seat and LED low-beam headlights — the high-beams remain halogen. Opting for the automatic transmission adds $1,200.
Available packages for both WRX and WRX STI include a navigation and Harman Kardon audio package for $2,000, the same package with keyless access for $2,500, and a navigation and keyless access and start package for $1,500.

STI Limited models gain leather seating, an eight-way power driver’s seat, moonroof and upgraded Harman Kardon stereo over the base STI. Besides the base STI and STI Limited trims, a Launch Edition commemorates the STI’s debut featuring Subaru’s World Rally Blue Pearl color and gold-painted 18-inch BBS wheels along with a unique blue-highlighted interior and short-throw. Only 1,000 units are planned for production.
