On the heels of Chrysler displaying dozens of upcoming cars in a private dealer meeting, Toyota took to Las Vegas to do the same. Representatives from some 1,400 U.S. dealerships saw a slew of new cars, including a redesigned Toyota Corolla compact that one Maryland dealer called “everything that the consumer is not expecting in that segment,” the Detroit News reports.
The Corolla was one of many cars revealed. Among others was a redesigned RAV4 that no longer carries the spare tire on the tailgate; most versions of the current SUV do. Toyota also displayed a redesigned Scion tC, which we hope returns to the original tC’s exemplary cabin materials versus those of the current car.
Toyota also announced it’s working with five universities to study driver distraction, develop more intelligent vehicles and evaluate lane departure warning systems, the Detroit News notes.
