Buyers looking to purchase a Toyota all-electric or plug-in hybrid vehicle but unsure of how much it will cost now have it easier on the automaker’s site. The automaker has launched the Toyota EV Incentive Finder, a new EV incentive-calculating tool built in collaboration with technology startup EV Life.

The Toyota EV Incentive Finder uses EV Life’s software engine — which already provides information on such vehicles from Toyota and other automakers — as a basis to show customers more than 470 potential rebates, EV tax credits and other benefits, including toll discounts and high-occupancy vehicle decals. In addition, shoppers can add other data — including location, household income, tax filing details and even electric utility company — to help find incentives or credits they might qualify for. The tool also lists information about the benefits of making the switch to an EV or PHEV, including fuel and maintenance savings and carbon footprint reduction.

Available on vehicle pages for the electric bZ4X SUV, as well as the plug-in hybrid Prius Prime sedan and RAV4 Prime SUV (though not the hydrogen fuel-cell Mirai sedan), the calculator works in every ZIP code in the U.S., and it’s designed to be used via a phone, computer or at a Toyota dealership. Toyota is hoping the tool will help simplify the buying process for customers and remove some of the confusion that can often surround certain incentives or tax credits.
