Sellers dropped the average asking prices on luxury cars in February, and it’s led to prices that are now thousands of dollars lower than we saw at the beginning of the year.
Buyers looking for a used BMW 5 Series midsize sedan are among those in luck. Through the first two months of the year, prices for the 528i and 535i have fallen to $36,866 and $42,430, respectively. That’s a price drop of 7.7 percent ($3,082) and 6.9 percent ($3,148). Audi A8 prices have also tumbled; the full-size sedan’s $57,688 asking price at the end of February is 6.4 percent ($3,966) less than it was on Jan. 1.
The charts below detail used cars from the 2012 to 2014 model years with the biggest price drops and increases. To be eligible for the lists, a model had to have at least 250 cars in Cars.com’s national search listings.
