Any time a big automaker such as GM asks for help with an auto show concept vehicle from a smaller company such as American Expedition Vehicles, things can get a little weird if they're not careful. Even worse, the vehicle itself can suffer the results. Thankfully, the Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 AEV concept that debuted at the 2017 Specialty Equipment Market Association Show didn't look like it experienced any of those problems. It sat in the center of the Chevy display, mobbed by showgoers for the much of the four-day trade show in the Las Vegas Convention Center.
We had the chance to get up close to the concept after talking with Chevy and AEV representatives. No word yet on whether this concept will become a special edition or whether AEV will get involved with the Chevy 2500/3500 lineup, but we hope all that happens. Check out our video below.
