What Are the Top 10 Most Expensive Cars?

To be fair, you’ve probably heard of a couple of these cars. The Bugatti Veyron remains the most expensive car on the market, according to Forbes.com, which compiled the top 10 list. The Bugatti comes in at $2.6 million for the newish 1,200-horsepower Supersport trim. We’ve also looked at the Porsche 918 Spyder plug-in hybrid, which is actually one of the cheapest (at $845,000) and least powerful cars on the list.

The just discontinued Maybach Landaulet is the only vehicle on the list that could comfortably fit more than two occupants: The rest are what we’d call super exotics. Most vehicles in this super pack have gullwing doors, carry more than 1,000 ponies under the hood and can accelerate from zero to 60 mph in fewer than 3 seconds. Even if you have the money to purchase one of these puppies, some of the models are available only if the automaker invites you to purchase one, like the Ferrari 599XX. If you want to fit cargo in the oddly shaped trunks found on a few of the rear-mid-engine models, it’ll require specially designed luggage, which can cost $30,000 a set, says Forbes.

Check out the full list below, and make sure to read Forbes’s article for more information about these most expensive cars.
