Yes, A Car Can Run on Air

A French company has built a small car that runs on compressed air. Yep, air. The small car has a range of 124 miles and could hit a top speed of 68 mph. The company has partnered with Tata Motors — the Indian company behind the Nano — and wants to price the car at 3,500 Euros, currently valued at $5,100 U.S. dollars.

While it sounds like a fantasy, the company has spent years developing the system, and it’s looking to get the first cars on European roads by the end of the year. Now, if only our local gas stations could keep their air hoses in proper working order…
