I went to there parts department to get couple gaskets for my pickup. They found the gaskets right away. Before they could ring me up, the power started... going on and off from the storm. Thought I was stuck there for a while. The power finally stayed on but their computer was slow to boot up. He said will just use the computer at the from desk. That booted up much faster. We were done after about 15 minutes. I asked if I could put my part in a bag as they are very small and easy to lose. Said sure thing. He was very polite and I'm glad I went to this dealership i. Would put 5 stars, but I only delt with the parts department and didn't want to give the dealership itself too much credit.
As the Service and Parts Director here at Alan Browne Chevrolet customer service is always the first and foremost concern that I have. In fact, I was a... long time customer here before coming to work here and service was part of the reason I took this job. I have never experienced a dealership that does as much as Alan Browne to make its customers happy. We strive to make sure every customer has a good service experience. To Cld in Genoa, I apologize for any inconvenience you may have incurred, but sometimes we cannot control the timing and accuracy of parts delivered to us. We work on all make and models of vehicles here and received the wrong parts for your car, we had to re-order original equipment parts for your car. I tried to mitigate your inconvenience by personally calling your family and getting you a rental car free of charge. I will always be honest in telling customers the status of their vehicles and I explained to you that the part we ordered to repair the parking brake did not fix the problem and we had to explore further. I left the new part in your vehicle and did not charge you and explained we needed to take your car for reprogramming of the vehicle which we facilitated. I needed an oil change bad but could not wait. I cant beleive they gave me a loner vehicle and even came and picked it up after it was done at my work.... I have even had work done in the past that was more major and they did great. Never an issue.
We have been taking our cars here for 14 years we won't anymore after today their service department has really gone down hill they care more about how... much money they can bring in then how they can treat their customers . They should tell the truth if they're not able to work on certain cars instead of keeping them for two weeks and then creating more issues trying to blame the customer and make them pay for it .
After searching for a couple of months for an SUV, my wife and I found a great Q5 at Alan Browne. Upon arrival, I was greeted right away by Terry and... offered assistance. He quickly pulled up the Q5 for a test drive. Since it was Saturday, the wife was unable to work and come along. During the test drive, while I shared this with Terry, he offered to allow me to drive the Q5 home for the weekend and show it to the wife since it was an hour and a half drive to Alan Browne. Took it home and came back with he wife to work out a price. After a couple of hours of negotiating, we walked out as the new owners of a great clean Q5. Terry & Phil made the process easy and offered a lower loan rate than our Local Union Bank which saved us more money. We will be back to make more purchases at this dealership in the future for its outstanding customer service, friendly staff and small town honest business practices. One thing I want to point out that I observed while there is that they have a lot of returning customers. This is a clear indication that this dealer is going above and beyond to meet their customers needs and offering great prices.
Great experience through and through. I was lucky enough to work with Destinee who made the car buying experience fun instead of stressful. I was able... to get everything I wanted in a vehicle (and then some). Jason and Phil really crunched some numbers to make sure I was comfortable and everything worked with my budget. In return they took my custom '98 Honda Civic in on trade (by custom I mean jalopy).
"On 4/12/16 I called and asked for the sales manager and I was directed to Bradley ( I found out later that he wasn't the sales manager). I told him, we... are from out of state. We asked him if the truck was still available, he said yes. We would call him later in the day. I called at 6:30pm said we were interested in the truck. I was sitting next to my husband so we could talk to him together. We discussed the truck, we were OK with the truck. We then discussed the title. We informed him that we were leaving on Sunday to go to Florida, We asked him if they would take a personal check or we could get a bank certified check in Rockford. Bradley said it wasn't necessary, they would take a personal check because they have a check clearing machine that clears the check. I then asked if we would get the title right away, he said yes. We said it was very important that we had the title so we could register the truck before leaving for Florida on Sunday. We didn't have 10-15 days to wait for the title to come in the mail. We talked to him about the price, Bradley then went and talked to the owner and we agreed upon a price. We would be there in the morning. Got there in the morning. Will was very nice and helped us so we could take a test drive since Bradley wasn't there yet. When we came back from the test drive, Bradley was there. I asked for a car fax, he had one printed. I noticed there was service done on the truck. I asked to go back to service for what they did to the truck. The older gentleman in service was very nice and printed everything that was done to it. As soon as the service door shut, I was reading all the service records at the same time Bradley was reaching over and touching my husband's shoulder and trying to shake his hand "We have a deal right?" My husband said OK, but he knew I was still reading the service records in case there was something that we didn't like - we haven't signed any paperwork yet. Bradley immediately ran around us and raced to his desk to start the paperwork. He seemed like he was rushing us for some reason. We came back and sat at his desk to wait for financing to do paperwork. They called us over. We started to get into the paperwork. I immediately asked about getting the title today. He said we don't do that here. My husband looked at me and said we were lied to. The gentleman with the beard walked over and we explained to both of them what Bradley had told us that we could get the title today and my husband said he lied. Bradley came over and said he never said that. He lied right to our faces. My husband walked out, he has severe high blood pressure and can't get angry. I stayed and tried to explain that we wanted the title today so we could go home and register the truck before we go down to Florida on Sunday. They said I wouldn't get the title right away any way. I said in Wisconsin you can go to the DMV and register the vehicle and get the printed title at that time. They didn't believe me and were going to look it up. The man with the beard said that he thought we were pulling a scam. I could not believe he said that. Bradley should never have lied to us. Then they were accusing us of pulling a scam when we had the money. We are both retired and moving to Florida. Older people shouldn't be treated this way. To us, the people that were involved should not be dealing with the public and even maybe should be fired for treating us that way. We were lied to and then accused of pulling a scam. Is that how they treat their cash paying customers?"
great dealership, just way too overpriced junk cars, i purchased a 1991 gmc sierra from here and a week later it was broken and needed over 10,000 in repairs.
Most of the used cars there are JUNK, spend your hard earned money elseware
I went into the dealership without a clear idea of what I was looking for in my next vehicle. My husband and I were first greeted by Derek who was so knowledgeable,... kind, and patient with me as I checked out and test drove several different options. He helped me narrow down my search by balancing what I liked with what I could afford. He was not pushy and worked hard to accommodate our needs. After meeting with Derek, we knew we wanted to do business at Alan Browne. When my husband and I returned a few days later, we worked with Destinee who was just as great. She already had an idea of what we were looking for and helped us to finalize our decision. She was simply delightful to work with and made the car buying experience less stressful. The owner, Phil, was able to get us a great deal and we left as very happy customers. Throughout this experience, we also had interactions with Adrienne, Jason, and Jim. We were treated with kindness and respect by everyone. This group goes out of their way to make the customer feel welcomed, cared for, and satisfied. We will definitely return to Alan Browne for our next purchase.
