Jeremy went over the top to make our truck purchase easy, fast, and complete. Would definitely recommend these guys to all. It was worth the drive from... Missouri.
The best thing about my experience buying a car from Auto Exchange was the price. Every other aspect of my car-buying experience at Auto Exchange left... much to be desired! Perhaps the most frustrating aspect of my experience occurred April 25, 2018 when I was driving from Kansas City to Lawrence to buy the car. Despite the fact that I had already submitted a financing application, been approved, and been told there was nothing more they needed, the salesperson I was working with (Edward “Eddie” Moreno) suddenly told me he needed paycheck stubs. I reluctantly turned my car around to go get them only to find out fifteen minutes later that they did not need them after all. Another trying aspect of this experience was listening to Eddie, and then Eddie’s supervisor Jeff, clumsily try to sell me a warranty for 45 minutes after I had told them repeatedly I did not want it. Worse still, both men proved to be inept at sales. The only hook that they came up with was that the warranty cost $200 less than the average repair cost for the car over the term of my loan. Keep in mind, this does not take into account the cost of the deductible each time you need a repair, the hassle of submitting claims, nor the fact that if Auto Exchange declares bankruptcy or closes the warranty is absolutely worthless. Another problem I had was getting the dealership to send me the check for the sales tax. Initially, Eddie told me that I would get it when I signed the papers to buy the car. Then he said it would come in the mail with the title. When the title came without the check, Eddie told me that they would put it in the mail that day and I would get next week by Wednesday. Eventually, I just had to call the finance person (Tashna) myself and ask her to send it. All things considered, I would not recommend Auto Exchange to anyone because their employees and processes don’t make for a good car-buying experience.
In and out in 90 minutes. That was looking over the car, test driving, paperwork and financing, everything. They've got it down to a science. They... make sure their cars are in excellent condition. Couldn't be more pleased. They really go out of their way to make you happy. Will use them again.
I went to Auto Exchange looking to trade my Subaru for another used car which would give some cash in exchange. I found what I was looking for and I was... amazed at how friendly they were to me and helpful. They made me feel comfortable and at home. They were very helpful and friendly and made me feel like I was part of their family. I would recommend Auto Exchange for any sort of transaction which requires a trade for another vehicle. I particularly enjoyed working with Edwardo and would recommend him and Aurto Exchange to anyone else who is looking to exchange one automobile for another, etc.
Went to look at a used vehicle at this dealership. Looked at the body panels of the car and could tell it had been repaired. Showed it to the salesman... and he agreed that it had been wrecked and that "he did not notice it when the dealership bought the car." Before going on a test drive the car was cleaned off. Whoever had washed it before the test drive put the pressure washer too close to a small, pre-existing paint chip, and turned it into a a dime-sized paint chip on the front bumper (that was not shown in the photos before previously looking at the vehicle). Salesman suggested that "touch up paint" would do the trick, although having detailing experience, the bumper would have to be repainted due to the new size of the paint chip. Wouldn't come down on price even though he agreed that the car had been wrecked and wasn't disclosed until I pointed it out to him. Next day he said he could take it to a body shop to have them see if it was wrecked (after agreeing with me that the panels didn't line up and the car looked like it had been wrecked). Did not want to continue doing business after the situation. Would not recommend this dealership. Ended up finding a similar car with far less miles and way more factory options for far less.
I purchased a BMW from Matt at Auto Exchange 3 years ago, loved the car, he gave me a fair deal for my trade in, very little hassle. He talked me into... an extended warranty, thankfully I went with the warranty.... over the next 3 years I used it multiple times and with service on BMW's costing as much as it does, I am so grateful he talked me into it...... fast forward to this week. I traded the same BMW back to him for an Audi. I was so pleased working with him last time, I wanted to work with him and only him again. He found the exact car I wanted, went above and beyond getting it to Auto Exchange, gave me a fair deal on my trade and provided invaluable expertise throughout the trade in process. I gladly got the extended warranty again and could not be happier purchasing my second car from him. He takes care of his customers better than any car dealership I've seen. They have the ability to get basically any car you request yet they are small enough that you get personal treatment. Outstanding experience!
Recently, my wife and I bought a vehicle for our business from Auto Exchange in Lawrence, KS. There business was clean, the cars and trucks looked great,... and staff was very professional. Our salesperson, Jeremy Pine took very good care of us and we would make another purchase from this company and will spread the word.
The first thing I have to say is...5 stars is not enough for the amazing service I received....they are at the very least a 10 gold star establishment!!... I went to Auto Exchange today to look at a car I had seen on their website. I called before arriving in case I needed an appointment, I was happy to hear that I could see it right away. I was greeted with a smile at the door by Jeremy, whom I had spoken with on the phone. He had the car ready and waiting, it's warm today so he had the AC cooling it before I arrived! I took it for a test drive (he asked if I wanted to drive alone or if I wanted him to go with me, most places will not ask they just go with you) I asked to go alone, he smiled and said have fun! When I got back to the lot I had a few questions about how things worked and he quickly explained everything I was unsure about. Then while we were sitting there we started talking about my past experiences with "used car salesmen" and I thanked him for NOT being like some others I have had the unpleasant experience of dealing with. I mentioned that I have walked off the lot when they got pushy, I said this in preface to telling him how NOT like them he was! We talked for quite some time, I kept apologizing for taking up so much of his time, but he said he was there to make my experience a fun/happy one. And he did! I can't remember the last time I talked so easily to a salesperson and even had many laughs! I had a few other questions after I got home so I called him and he answered them all once again! I haven't decided on the car just yet, but told him I will be buying from him even if I decide not to take this one. If you want to check out used cars in Lawrence, please do yourself a huge favor and go to Auto Exchange FIRST, you will not find a better experience anywhere else!
I purchased my car almost a year ago (best experience I've had. LOVE the car. A week ago I had to take it in for a very rare malfunction (according to... manufacturing dealer (Infiniti). I purchased an extended warranty from Matt at the time of purchase. When the warranty company received the bid from Infiniti to repair this part there was some hesitation on their part and we were worried they weren't going to hold up their end. I sent Matt a message and he called me less than 2 minutes after I sent the message, asked me what was happening, and said he would take care of it. Maybe 2 hours later the service rep called me from Infiniti and everything was approved and handled and it was all good. Even nearly a year after the purchase Matt went above and beyond to take care of a customer that he didn't have to. It's rare to experience someone going the extra mile with little to gain. I'd like to thank Matt Hendrick and Auto Exchange and absolutely recommend them to my closest friends, colleagues, and family whenever the opportunity arises, without hesitation. I can't wait to buy my next car from them. (BUT I HAVE TO) :)
I shopped, and shopped, and shopped online for a 2012 Jeep Liberty, for like a month and a half. Then I expanded my search out 10 more miles, and there... it was, exactly what I was looking for, at Auto Exchange in Lawrence. I called and got Jeremy Pine, who answered every question about some financing issues and about the car, and actually checked into a couple of things he wasn't sure of (vs just throwing an answer at me hoping it would stick, as sometimes happens). Plus, even knowing I was interested, he didn't pressure me to come in, which I did anyway the next day, and he had it waiting right out by the front door... Literally, it was immaculate, like it was new. We talked for a while about it, and again, no pressure. We did the app online, they called us the following morning with the answer, we got the right interest rate, then a little better, and I kept waiting for the bomb to drop because it was just going too smoothly. No bomb - everything went as smoothly as I could have possibly expected. Comparatively speaking, there was no better deal within a 40 mile radius of OP for this vehicle - the advertised price could have easily been higher, but it just wasn't. Jeremy was professional and great to deal with - he even took my calls and texts while he was sitting on a piece of workout equipment at the gym (inside joke)... Honestly, speaking as someone with almost 30 years in sales, this experience was a model for how they should all be.
