I would not recommend this dealer! Very hard to deal with, only available 9-5 Monday thru Friday. With this type of inventory a lot of customers would... have to travel. I'm in Colorado and hard to find time to travel to Detroit. Because they would not do a Saturday I had to book about 10 days out. Had a local inspector look at the vehicle on a Thursday AM and he reported back that it had a bad vibration while driving at certain rpms. I spoke to them that day and said I had to book my flight so I was committed to being there the next Thursday in the afternoon. I arrived and test drove the vehicle, it drove even worse that described bad vibration at all rpms. The vehicle had a new 6.0L EFI engine. It ran like a straight 6 with a bad miss. They knew I was coming to buy the vehicle. It would seem they didn't even try to have the problem looked at before I wasted my time and money to get there. Could not spend 80K and have it shipped to Colorado with trust me we will get it fixed. Total lack of respect for their customers time and money wasted ($1,400.00 for nothing). Again, I would feel a little different if they had even tried to fix it before I got there.
Take a close look at the undercarriage pics when looking for a 4x4. Usually signs of shoddy spray paint/undercoating covering up flaws. I can only imagine... what else they cover up.
My experience is from a couple of years ago. I was just on their site checking out what they might have available. Then I saw where could write a review... and felt I should take the time to do so. I bought a really nice Porsche 914 from GR, I told them sometimes after a couple years I can get bored with a car and not to be surprised if I called to sell it back or trade it out for something else. That is what I ended up doing two years later. They treated me extremely right, made all so easy for me. This place is straight up, fair decent people. Have no fear of buying site unseen, I did and couldn't have been happier.
Thank you and enjoy your Porsche 914
TALKED TO RALPH, EXPRESSED GREAT INTEREST IN A CAR, HAD THE MONEY HE WANTED ME TO GIVE HIM INFO ON A TRADE, I GOT MY TRADE OUT STORAGE, DETAILED IT, TOOK... PICTURES, FILLED OUT FORMS. RALPH SAID HE WOULD TALK TO THE TRADE PEOPLE. NO RESPONSE FROM RALPH, CALLED HIM THE NEXT DAY SAID IT WAS SOLD TO SOMEONE ELSE WITHOUT HIS KNOWLEDGE. RIGHT. TYPICAL CAR SALESMAN. AVOID DOING BUSINESS WITH THIS CHICKEN OUTFIT.
Purchased a vehicle after having extensive conversations with the manager regarding the specifics and working condition of the systems and mechanicals.... Bottom line is that they lied both verbally and in the written description. They have no integrity and their word means nothing. They are the epitome of the negative associations of a "used car salesman". While fully aware, I didn't think they would literally lie to someones face about almost everything. This wasn't a misrepresentation, it was mindful deception. They are another example of a business model built on cheating vs. offering value.
Found the 1987 Buick Grand National on the GR Auto website. Brendan was a great help from the third party inspection, purchase and even helping with the... shipping. Upon receipt of the Buick it was better than expected! Thanks for a smooth transaction.
Sold a vehicle with title issues. Had to work the problem up to Jeff, the "owner" who has been worthless in the process. Poor communication, very defensive... if you say something not in his favor, and very condescending forgetting that a customer can very well be a return customer or equally if not more as "important" or "wealthy" or "busy" as him.
Look close at the pics. They are trying to get top dollar for older trucks that have many cosmetic fixes that are hiding bigger problems. It is entertaining... to see the scam tactics. Look close when they send you a Carfax at how many different title numbers are listed.
Sir, We sell classic cars that are sometimes 80 years old, OF COURSE they will have some cosmetic issues. We price our cars to the market. Sorry yo...u are offended by us being a for profit operation. CarFax shows the history of a car, we dont hide that just send it. Good luck in your search.
The car looks great on pictures and when asked about rust was told very little to none by Chris... once the car arrives and inspected by my mechanic needed... to fix some minor mechanical problems (the car wouldn't turn in) and told not to fall in love with the car as it was a big ball of bondo that once removed wasn't sure if there would be metal underneath.
We always welcome 3rd party inspections and never hide anything...we take over 100 pictures of EVERY car and 2 videos and are always happy to take add...itional ones for any one that requests.
Been looking for a 70's F100 for a while. The one I bought from this company is the 1975 Gray F100 in their sold inventory. It's absolutely beautiful...on... the outside. It's sitting with a local trusted mechanic now and probably will be for another month while parts are ordered and installed. The purpose of buying an older truck was to have something to work on with my father and kids. The extent of the repairs needed was completely unexpected based on how it was presented by this dealer. I wouldn't go as far as calling it a lemon as it has been cosmetically restored and looks great. The vehicle, however, needs major repair and is unsafe to drive. I was told I had about 100 miles left before the rear wheels fell off. Steering box completely worn out causing major steering problems. Rear wheel bearing and seals worn out and gone and rear wheels loose on the axle. Differential housing cracked and leaking and needs to be replaced. Ball joints all need to be replaced. They'll probably find more as the repair continues. I'm looking at another 5-7K out of pocket. I fully expected that certain parts would need to be repaired and I was looking forward to doing those...just not immediately and not to this extent. The buying process was easy as it was all done through email. I never so much received a call thanking me for my business even after wiring them 20K. The shipping was supposed to be 1-3 weeks but it only took a few days. I was out of town and had relayed my father's contact info to the delivery manager but that never seemed to have been communicated to the third party delivery contractor. Luckily, I have Ring doorbell so when it went off while I was out of town, there was a guy standing on my front porch who spoke no English and it was all i could do through the phone to get him to stay on the porch until I could get a hold of my neighbor to sign for the truck. Bottom line...I was a sucker and out of state. I'm a first time buyer and new to all of this and thought this looked like a reputable company. I'm sure they are good people but they just did not seem to care and were happy to take my money with very little effort on their part. Steve Apex, NC
