Lemon

I would say one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a company due to the vehicle they sold me. Nice people, but everyone's always in it for the quick cash. To describe my experience is necessary so here ya go: my nice lemon I received was a toyota rav4 with less then 80 thousand miles on it. Looked all shiny from the outside, said was fixed up after a tree fell on it but they checked it over and gave it the go ahead to be sold. 1.) Wanted an extra key made and my auto unlock feature to work because in the sale it said it came with this. At first the lady was saying it was my job to pay 180 dollars to get new keys etc. I said no it said it came with that. Finally had her set up a day to receive keys from there company they go through. Well they couldn't get it figure out after I drove back and sat and waited for 1.5 hours, told me they'd try again later. Didn't happen, part of it was timing. 2.) LATER I find out the BENT key the gave me was a valet key and not the master key so its pretty impossible to get new set of keys but I can't just have 1 bent key that's going to break in my car now can I. So dealing with that currently which has been a Hassel and $$. 3.) Keep noticing the tires getting flat right away, even PRIOR to me leaving the lot they had to refill them. Didn't think much of it until I brought it in to 3 different guys to see what was going on. I find out that tires are fine but the rims have MULTIPLE HOLES ON 3 OF THEM causing constant leaking and concern of my tire falling off. SAFETY CONCERN?? AND THEY HAD TO KNOW. Why you ask? Because they told me that they spray painted the outside rims chrome to make it look nicer. Does that plug the holes until I drive away? Well I'll never know because I'm paying for NEW ones like they should of. 4.)Now onto the more expensive issues. Find out the differential is leaking all over the place and the struts are bad. Like fine the struts are bad no big deal but the DIFFERENTIAL WAS LEAKING. Over a grand gone out of my pocket. 5.) I go to another state over the weekend my battery is completely dead, okay fine, getting it jumped. ALL THE LIGHTS FLASHING, horn honking even when you turn it off. No one could figure out what it was until I find out that there was an auto start placed in this car with a prior owner that I wasn't aware of and when we jumped the car it fried. Easy fix but a Hassel none the less. Which actually lead to the differential issue being found. Now to throw it out there I told them I needed this car because I drive a lot as im a homecare nurse and needed it to be safe and secure and handle the roads. Clearly did not listen to my concerns. I was just told how wonderful toyotas were, etc, etc. 6.) ALSO the cruise control went out within a month of buying it. I only used it like 3 times. No idea yet what that issue is going to entail but may be something with the keys being unprogrammable because again they didn't give me a master key. So im assuming some type of wiring issue that will again add up the $$$$ 7.) She literally told me she raised the price by 900 dollars because of covid and the online car site for no other reason then it said she could. How dare you raise the price when things needed to be done on it that if someone actually looked it over they would have seen. I'm actually embarrassed of the car I bought because of all the issues and continue to tell anyone and everyone to watch out for companies like this. Again nice people, but watch out. Especially if you don't know cars like me. Definitely my biggest regret of the 2020-2021 season was buying this vehicle from them.

They're the BEST place to go for a used car!

Gloria, Paul and Marlin treat you like family; they make sure you leave their dealership with such a reliable well-intentioned purchase that you'll feel justified to return a number of times just to say HI! The buying process is truly comfortable-- humane!

I love these guys

Keewaydin Auto Sales is a very personal, no-pressure dealership. They are in my neighborhood and I prefer to give them my business when I decide to buy my next "new used" car!
