Bought a truck a few months ago. Everything seemed to work great but within a few weeks the whole truck is shaking while driving and feels like it’s about to break down. We take it to a mechanic and they can’t figure out what’s wrong with it. Take it to another mechanic to find out it’s going to cost either around 5,000 to fix or 14,000 for a whole new engine. Haven’t really even got to drive the truck for very long because it’s been at the mechanics for over a month. Currently waiting for it to be fixed will update later. ✌️ ******edited for the final update******* $4400 for cam shaft and rocker arms. I want to make very clear we only drove the truck for a few weeks after we bought it before it started breaking down. It sat in our driveway for awhile before we called the mechanic. It sat in our driveway while we waited for the mechanic to take it. It was at the first mechanic for over a month. It sat in our driveway while we waited for the second mechanic. It was at the second mechanic for over 1.5 months.

Reponse sent via a Google review which user also posted: Heather, we are sorry to hear that you are having difficulties with your truck. This is the first that we have heard of your issue - Our records show that we hadn't missed any contact since you'd purchased the vehicle in May. Had you tried to reach out to us? We hope the mechanic whom you took it to can help resolve your issue.

Two Great Experiences — A History of Authenticity

I’ve had two great experiences buying cars from Fritz in Fishers. The staff is warm, welcoming, friendly, and very real. It’s easy to have a long conversation with them, just chatting about the business and about the market climate and etc. They’ve been in the auto sales business for more than 40 years and there’s many good reasons why. Most of the bad reviews seem to be written by people who failed to ask questions or do their homework on the ***used*** cars they purchased. All used cars have surprises, whether big or small. Fritz has a solid warranty on their vehicles and a dedicated service department, and will be honest with you if they think you would get better help from a dealership. All in all, I’m happy to call myself a repeat customer of Fritz in Fishers.

Very disappointing experience.

Very disappointing experience. After wiring the money for the car which was supposed to be ready for delivery, the dealership said it would take 3 more day to be released to the shipper. After an angry phone call with the manager, he then told me a light on the dashboard was not working and the part was ordered. Poor communication. He could have mentioned that in the first conversation. Then, to top it off, when the vehicle was delivered, there was no title or additional paperwork to show ownership. The delivery driver knew nothing. Still awaiting a communication on that.

Fritz in Fishers does not ship vehicles, however did help to facilitate a third-party shipper to help get the vehicle to this customer who was from out of town. Ownership paperwork was been mailed to the customer, signed and returned, and a planned pickup date for the vehicle was facilitated with the shipper. In-between the time the paperwork was received back and the pickup date, there was a warning light that illuminated on the vehicle. The problem was diagnosed, and the issue repaired, in time for the shipping date not to change. The warning light was not illuminated originally, and when the customer called and spoke to the sales manager, he told of the situation. The ownership paperwork had been already mailed orignally, and was not sent with the shipper when the vehicle arrived to the customer. Fritz's processess the titlework for all of their customers, and titles get sent after vehicle delivery. It is unfortunate that every sales person who works at Fritz in Fishers earned a 1-star rating with this review.

Can you provide us a little more detail so as we can help take care of your issue? Thank you. - Kyle at Fritz in Fishers.

What a great group of people at Fritz’s.

What a great group of people at Fritz’s. I can’t say enough about my salesperson, Brad. Just easy going, no pressure type gentleman and I highly recommend asking for him when you visit. I got a great trade deal and first time around signed everything and purchased a car that’s new to me!

Saw a vehicle on Carfax on line.

Saw a vehicle on Carfax on line. After checking the Carfax I was sure I wanted to buy this vehicle. Bras was the salesman that showed me the vehicle. He was very attentive and set me up with the financial person. I had previously been approved at my credit union and brought in a check for te full amount of asking price. Brad had told me earlier that day my vehicle was being clean snd ready for me and he was going to have gas in the tank ready to go. I arrived with check in hand. Brad had no6put Gavin the vehicle, it had less than a quarter tank showing. He did not have timto go over things on the car and I had to demand gas be put in the car. He still ignored doing anything with me so he could go talk to another customer. His actions proved he did not care about a customer that just bought a car. Very sad for myself, a disabled person, be treated this way. Kinda ruined my joy and excitement of buying a new car for myself.

Jrolf, In reading your review, it sounds like there are a few things that you want to bring to our attention: 1) The amount of time and attention that Brad gave to you after the sale of the vehicle going over the vehicle itself, and 2) the mount of fuel that was put in the vehicle. I have followed up with Brad: When you arrived to pick up your vehicle, Brad just so happened to have another customer at his desk, at no fault of his. He greeted you, received the check that you mention in your review, and took it to our business manager. Due to the fact that he had a customer at his desk, he was not able to review the features of the vehicle with you. He apologized, and offered to review the features of the vehicle once his customer was taking care of their vehicle paperwork. Or, if you did not have time to wait, to come back to Fritz's and he'd be happy to show you because you live very close to our dealership... he just wasn't available to at that exact moment. 2) Regarding the fuel being at the 1/4 full mark, at that time you were speaking with our sales manager, James. He asked Brad to leave his customer, and put some additional fuel in the car to help make you satisifed; more than the 1/4 mark of which he put in before you arrived to pick up your car. In conclusion, if you would like to return to Fritz's in Fishers to review the features of the vehicle or if you have any questons, either myself (Kyle) or James would be happy to assist.

Consumer response

Thank you for your response. Too bad you weren't told the entire truth. I spoke with Brad before I arrived to pickup my car. Mr. Brad told me at that time the car was being serviced and he was going to put gasoline in it and have it ready for me. As for someone at is desk, the man came and sat there after I arrived. I did not give him the check, another sales man met me at the door held it open for me and I gave it to him. A lady came in a little later asking for him. Yes he was busy, I understand, he had the sale and my money and I wasn't important anymore. He pulled a fast one on me by putting a defective broken key in the console instead of handing it to me and me finding it wrapped in tape and not usable. When I asked if he put gasoline in the car, he knew he had not and looked at the gauge and told me it was under a quarter. Yes, I was becoming very upset by that time. I was a customer ahead of the other two. Yes he went and put as little gasoline in it that he could get by with. I started to drive away and the ceiling inside back light was on and I couldn't figure out how to turn it off as well as adjust the seat from it being laid way back as well as being very uncomfortable, I just asked for some insight on how to adjust it. The rear view mirror inside the car was turned upside down and completely messed up. Your staff that clean up the cars do a good job but leave them totally messed up. You would think the person selling them would make sure such little things like this were corrected before a person buying the car was ready. And for your information I don't live close. Guess you were told that along with other tales to try and make me the bad guy. All I wanted to do is buy the Chevrolet Equinox that I found on carfax. I was already pre-approved to buy it before I came in to look at it. An easy sale for the salesman and your finance person. All I asked was to show me a few things about a vehicle that I have never owned or driven before the short distance on Monday. I am a 76 year old disabled veteran and was not asking for anything special, just a little time from your salesman to help me enjoy my new Chevrolet. Yes the excitement of having a new vehicle, new to me was not what I was expecting from Mr. Brad. When I walked in your dealership with a sizable check to pay for it, I was a customer, and wasn't expecting anything special just be treated like a customer that just bought a vehicle from Fritx Auto. I was lied too, disrespected, told I could come back and I'd get answers to my questions. I was there why not then. I've ordered manuals so I can learn how to operate the features. I've ordered another key/fob which I should not have to do. And having to make a issue about having enough gas in the vehicle I just bought so I wouldn't run out of gas driving home. This a real shame for a dealership that is said to have been in business for awhile. You'd think customers would be treated a little better.
