Transparent - friendly - trustworthy

I had a wonderful experience at Fred Beans VW. I traveled from out of state to purchase a used vehicle. The dealership picked me up from Philly and the transaction at the dealership was smooth and friendly. I would not hesitate to purchase another vehicle from Fred Beans and only have good things to say about the entire experience. Thank you!

a good listener

I wanted to share my experience at Frer Beans VW in Devon, Pa. I was exploring a certified preowned VW. with a sales consultant named Andrew S. I am reasearcher by nature..very detailed..Andrew was very attentive and listened carefully to my detailed questions His product knowledge was first rate and he was able to respond definitively and also clarified any issues that I had. It was a pleasure to work with him and he made it a very easy and comfortable experience. Athough I did not move forward with a purchase at this time , I will return to consider another VW car and would work with Andrew again.

Great Experience at Fred Beans VW Devon

Just purchased a new VW from Anthony Law at Fred Beans (Devon, PA). Everything done via the internet - this was the easiest purchase I have ever made! I had shopped several dealers here in N.J. and Anthony gave me the best price right from the beginning with no haggling. He was extremely professional and I knew ALL COSTS ahead of time via the buyers order that was emailed to me. (Buyers do need to be aware when obtaining quotes from dealers as they will ALWAYS contain every rebate available. Be an INFORMED BUYER and ask lots of questions!) No high pressure. Sarah was extremely thorough and made the vehicle pick-up fast & pleasant. Couldn't have been more pleased with the purchase of my 2017 Passat SEL PREMIUM. And YES ~ I'm a loyal VW owner. I'm turning in my 2012 Passat diesel, but sticking with the Passat as it's a great car and I really love it.

Purchased Pre-Owned 2013 Honda: Great experience

Not sure why the low ratings/reviews on other sites. I had the most positive buying experience ever for a car. John Vickery and Eric Olivieri are top notch professionals. I was looking for a late model/low mileage pre-owned vehicle; I had narrowed it down to the 2013 CRV EX-L. They had one just taken in via trade with low miles, loaded and in great condition. I came all the way down from Northern NJ. I had also located similar vehicles at other Phila dealers but they were all too pushy. The experience here was low key and easy. I arranged my own financing and when I came down to pick up the car- I was out in 75 minutes- not once did they try to pressure or up sell other add-ons. I can wholeheartedly recommend the buying experience at Fred Beans. Would not hesitate to do so again.

Another Great Transaction at Fred Beans VW!

Thank you, Tyrik & Eric for all of your help! Another amazing experience at Fred Beans VW in Devon! I was considering going to a different brand dealership closer to my house, but the thought of NOT having a VW just made me too upset. I've been a loyal customer for 20 years and Tyrik made sure he took excellent care of me and got me into the car I wanted at the price I wanted-price was even better than I expected. They also made sure to communicate every step of the process with me so that I knew and understood what what happening and how long it would take. I was in my new car in no time and just love, love my new Tiguan aka "Tiggy," Thank you again Tyrik & Eric and the whole Devon crew!

Great Service and Extraordinary Staff

My experience at Fred Beans VW better the extraordinary it was incredible. My salesman Tom Sheridan was better then ANY salesman I could of ever gotten. He made my first experience with a new car better then I could of ever asked for. He really has a gift when it comes to people. And his sense of humor was laugh at loud if you need a car ask for Tom Sheridan. You'll get the best car buying experience ever. The entire staff made me feel like I was part of the family. When Fred Beans says welcome to the family they absolutely mean it. I will never shop anywhere else for a car but at Fred Beans. Again I can't thank these guys enough.

Did Not Buy, But Good Experience.

By the time I got to the dealership, the pre-owned car I was interested in was already gone. Budget was limited and nothing else I wanted was available in my price range. However the associate who helped me was very patient and went through the inventory available that was as close to my maximum price as possible. No pressure, just helpful guidance. Won't hesitate to go back for my next car purchase.

Certified Pre-Owned Lemon

Be very cautious when purchasing a "Certified Pre-Owned' vehicle from this dealership. I bought a 2007 VW Passat 2.0T in 2012 with 46,000 miles on it. Less than two years later and an odometer that now reads 61,398 I have had nothing but problems with it. Here's a breakdown of the repairs that have been made to the vehicle thus far; *Jan. 3rd 2013 with 51,315 miles; TIMING Belt Replaced Control Arm's Repaired *Jan. 4th 2013 with 51, 369 miles; CEL on, replaced N80 (Purge) Valve *Apr. 10th 2013 with 53, 683 miles; During inspection, oil was found leaking from the valve gasket cover onto exhaust and turbo lines. Gasket Replaced. *May 17th 2013 with 54,546 miles; Oil leaking again from the same valve gasket, replaced again. *Jun. 18th 2013 with 55,511 miles; CEL on again, fuel pressure sensor replaced. *Jul. 1st 2013 with 55,720 miles; CEL on for 3rd time; Mech. Pump Cam completely worn through, replaced intake CAMSHAFT, cam follower, and mech. fuel pump. *Nov 9th 2013 with 59,247 miles; 60K, note oil changed at 59,247 *Dec. 20th with 60,726 miles; Tire replaced (my fault) and Firestone noted that my oil was low, note just had an oil change slightly over 1,000 mi. ago. *Dec. 24th with 60,755 miles; Oil consumption test started by dealer. Left CV boot torn open, replaced. *Jan. 3rd 2014 with 61,175 miles; Wiper blades stopped working. Replaced. Which leads me to today, I picked my car up after dropping it off yesterday to determine whether the car is burning too much oil and of course it was determined that my car is fine. The advice that is on the invoice is that I check my car's oil every 1,000 miles and top off as necessary. Yes, for a 2007 vehicle with less than 65,000 miles that originally should go 10,000 miles between changes, I now have to check my oil every 1,000 miles and top it off as necessary and that's completely acceptable from VW's standpoint. Unreal. While this is not all the dealer's fault, I find it completely astonishing that this car was somehow considered a CPO vehicle. I bought a CPO VW, and paid a premium for it, because everything I had heard about their pre-owned vehicles had led me to believe they were basically like brand new cars with very a very thorough inspection process, well as Maury would say "That's a lie!" and now I feel completely duped and am left with a complete lemon of a car that's going to hundred dollar bill me when my CPO runs out. I guess when Jack Deegan, the sales guy, told me this car was "priced to sell" he meant it in more of a get this car off our lot so its not our problem type of way...
