Bad Service

Called 3x to inquire availability to one of their pick-up trucks, no one answered. I left messages, yet no one returned my calls. Decided to go to other dealership with better service.

dishonest as the day is long!

I have purchased a 2001 BMW Z3 from Cal West Motors last month. It's a nice clean looking, low mile car and came with a clean carfax report. The dealer I had worked with, Brian Casey assured me that there were no issues with the car and that there mechanics do a thorough check of all vehicles before sales. The car drove smoothly and I trusted his word. A few days prior to going back to get my tags and registration from them, I had discoverd paper work from the previous owners mechanic that showed the car had issues that needed attention. upon receiving my tags from Brian, I had informed him of the preexisting issues, all he did was stare at me like a deer in headlights. Mike Casey, whome I belive is his father, came up and asked if there was a problem, in which I had calmly repeated myself adding that I was taking the car to my mechanic and would like to work out some type of compensation. He flat out refused and it was obvious, did not want to discuss it any further. I told him that tey would be getting bad social media reviews and his reply was "do what you have to do" and walked away. After the fact, I had gotten news from my mechanic that the car needs north of $8,000.00 worth of work. More than half of what I paid for the car. This is an ourageus rip off by Cal West Motors. Criminal im my opinion. Will be definitely seeking legal consult on this issue.

Great customer service and quality used vehicles!

For some time, I have been looking for a used Camry to replace mine that has 170K miles. I saw a couple online at Cal West Motors, and decided to drive down from Santa Rosa to test-drive them. Matthew worked with me and was informative, professional, patient and very personable, as we looked at the two models that fit my criteria: Low miles! One had 52K and the other 55K, mileage that is almost un-heard-of in a Camry! I decided on the latter, and the buying process was seamless and smooth. Yes, there's a lot of paperwork, but that's true no matter where you buy a car! This place has been a family-owned business for 40 years, and in this economy, I'm happy to support the Mom and Pop businesses that have struggled so much during the pandemic. I also met the owner, the son of the founder, who continues to carry on the tradition of personal service and honest offerings. Also, Matthew has worked there his entire adult life, so it's really a family operation! I was very pleased with my experience there, and would recommend them to anyone looking to purchase a vehicle!

Ryan was a nice guy...car was severely overpriced

I went there to look at a used BMW 750Li. It had four different brands of tires on it! It also had a dead battery. This is a very poor way to sell such a high end luxury car. The suspension calls for every tire to match and having a dead battery ruins the many computer modules of this model car. But more importantly, the car was severely over priced. They were asking $15,900 on the window, and then reduced to $13,900 on the front, while asking $12,900 online here at Cars.com. The car wholesales for around $5-6 grand! So, they wanted to make a killing on this car, which was not worth such an overage, particularly considering the four different brand tires and dead battery it had. I will say speaking to the salesman Ryan was a pleasant experience. I can not recommend buying a car from such a place however.

Awesome quick and chill experience.

Matt was awesome, came by, took a look at the car, had a quick test drive, walked out in a fairly short amount of time. All vehicles here are checked by Carfax, made my life easier when it came to making a decision.
