Quality from beginning to end!

From the moment walked into the office until the day I got the phone call that I officially owned my car (today!) EVERYONE from the owner Patrick and Cindy who helped me every step of the way- the customer service has been impeccable. They have a heart and make every aspect easy and worry free. I would never go anywhere else for a quality used vehicle and would HIGHLY recommend to family and friends with complete confidence in Nutmeg Auto and their truly awesome staff! Thank you a million times over! -Deanna Hopkins

Awesome Experience

Had a great experience buying a 2013 Altima, low miles, amazing shape, and came with the remote start feature which was definitely a bonus! Cindy and Patrick are very easy to talk to and work with.

Great Experience

I went to Nutmeg for a used car and had a great experience. Cindy could not have been any more helpful. She patiently waited for me to make a decision on the car and for me to pick it up since I live an hour away. My car was exactly what was described on line and in great condition. I am extremely pleased with Nutmeg Auto and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a used car.

Awesome

They were absolutely awesome towards us. Initially had some concerns with the car but they addressed all of them including replacing the tires, brakes and rotors. They were incredibly courteous and fair and had exceptional service. If you need a car this Is the place to go.

Loved my car from Nutmeg!

About a year and a half ago I bought an '06 saab 9-3 from Nutmeg Auto, the entire process was super easy staff was very accommodating. The car was so beautiful I absolutely loved it until it was totaled last month by a distracted teen driver. The car was perfect until it was totaled in a head on collision but thankfully it lived up to it's reputation as a very safe car- performing really well on impact. Glad to say no one was seriously injured but so sad to have lost my Saab. Nutmeg Auto sold me a beautiful car at an excellent price and I couldn't have been happier with it. Checked them out to replace it unfortunately nothing in my price range, but I would definitely buy from Nutmeg again!

Surprising Experience

As a general rule I don't like car dealers. Nobody likes car dealers. It's just an unfortunate side-effect of capitalism. So when you find one you like you almost feel obligated to tell others about it. Back in September I had a friend convince me that I needed a "proper vehicle," as I was driving a sensible Acura at the time. So I began seeking a childhood fantasy in the form of a 2002 Camaro SS. The closest one I found was at Nutmeg and I promptly made an appointment to see it. Well, an accident on the Meritt parkway made me very late, but the owner stayed around for quite some time despite me not being able to reach them on my cell phone. The car was perfect and only had about 23,000 miles on the odometer, and all of the RPO codes confirmed a proper SLP modded SS. The price was absolutely fair and included new OEM GM brakes which the previous owner had in the trunk, and I was also told that new tires could be ordered and included at no extra charge. I turned the tires down as I have a tire shop that I'm very loyal to because they're an honest business, and I got a discount which I ultimately put towards high performance tires and there was no additional BS in the pricing. My last attempted vehicle purchase (also internet based) somehow involved magical thousands of dollars extra that ended up included in the price while the snake at the desk tried his best to do an impression of an honest guy, but Nutmeg's owner impressed me so much that if I lived nearby I would stop by to say hi every now and then. I wholeheartedly recommend them and if you see what you're looking for online being sold by Nutmeg then I personally would be confident that there is no dishonesty afoot. I would absolutely purchase from them again, recommend them to my friends and family, and I'm even going to put that licence plate frame on to advertise for them as soon as the weather warms up. Honest businesses should be strongly supported and championed by their customers; society will be better for it. Once last thing: my mechanic (and tire supplier) is really surprised at how perfect the car is and everybody at the shop went out to oogle the body and the super-clean LS1 under the hood.

Incredible Experience

I went to Nutmeg to buy a used car, found a great hybrid SUV for an incredibly reasonable price but when I test drove it I found the brakes to be a little tight and the alignment to be off. Maintaining the original price, Nutmeg offered to do all the maintenance free of charge and allowed me to charge the alignment from a secondary retailer to them because the guys specialized in alignments. The buying process was incredibly efficient with Nutmeg dealing with all the registration and getting me my new plates by the time I arrived back at their office. However, on about the third day of driving it another problem arose with the high motor temperature sensor going off incredibly frequently so I came back and they spent about a good part of the day working on the engine coolant which fixed the problem for a little bit but then came back up. So once I again I brought my car in and after doing tons of background research on which parts had been replaced Nutmeg figured out the problem with the High Motor Temperature was with the sensor after looking behind the dashboard. Essentially, Nutmeg spent almost two workdays ensuring my car was in excellent condition, not charging me a dime and going so far beyond what is expected of a "Used Car Dealership" that I can't help but recommend them to anyone looking in the market. Autotrader.com directed me to the vehicle I would later purchase and with the experience I had I want to spread the word, because I couldn't imagine any other dealer would be half as good. Excellent service, Very Personable and Knowledgeable Staff, Incredible attention to Quality

Overall a good experience. Would go there again.

We bought a 2003 Volvo in very good condition. The only thing wrong with it was a rusty muffler heat shield. The dealer said they would fix it for free even though we bought the car "as is". Instead we brought it to our mechanic and he told us the car was in great shape other than that 1 minor issue. Other than that, our experience with Nutmeg was pretty great. We bought the car from Pat, the owner and finished the deal with Cindy, the manager. Both were very friendly. Cindy got us a very good interest rate on the car loan. I would definitely buy from this dealer again.

Dealer response

Hi Jesus, I am Cindy from Nutmeg Auto in East Hartford, I am very sorry you had a bad experience at the dealership, I don't know why your calls were not picked up, because I answer all the calls that come through, unless we are closed, then the machine should have picked up your calls. I would have to disagree with you on the pictures online and the car we have on our lot, the pictures do not do the car justice at all, the car looks 100% better in person. I am sorry we could not discount the price but we work on a very small profit margin, we do a very good safety on the car before it leaves also, and offer a discount on the labor rate if you need service down the road, in that car I do not have the room to discount. Jesus I am also very sorry you felt ignored, and I am very sorry I ignored you. I wouldn't do that intentionally, I really like my job and my customers. I know we can't make every one happy but in my defense, I really do try. Cindy Albert, Nutmeg Auto Wholesalers, Inc. East Hartford, CT.
