New Jeep Grand Cherokee

Purchased at 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Gave Smith is excellent to work with, understood my need to take two days to make the decision. Very knowledgeable about the workings inside and out of the Jeep. Gabe went through controls and setting up our phone paring them with the info system.

Service Doesn't Meet Basic Standards

Service department is horrible! Doug Smith had my Jeep Wrangler for 10 weeks on a warranty repair. I got the Jeep back but the repair isn’t complete and now I have new issues. My Jeep spent most of that 10 weeks neglected in the parking lot, doors unlocked, windows down and taped over, and engine partially disassembled without any form of cover or protection. Nate Garrison, service manager, assured me this is normal and that he’s “got 100 vehicles on the lot just like this.” Only updates I’d get is by stopping by and waiting to speak to someone. Only once was I called back with information I’d asked about. Updates I could get were usually one or a mix of “waiting on parts,” “wrong parts received,” and “waiting on tech time.” I finally get the Jeep back and there is an error message about battery charging on the main display, there are new scratches and scuffs all over the passenger fender, grille is scratched, fuse box won’t close all the way because of a wire now routed through it, coolant drips on the suspension components, snapped fastener at an electrical connection, a rather large bracket fell out of the engine bay when driving, and the fender liner is missing most of the attachment hardware.

Love our salesman

Working with Andy Dobmann, our salesman, is great. Wonderful experience. Bought many cars from Andy over the years. I trust him. He cares and I will continue to buy from him in the future.

Small town family feeling

Awesome experience. Not pushy and fair on trade in price. Brent Applegate helped us find the truck that we wanted and went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. The entire staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. We felt like part of the family.

Worst service department

If i could leave a negative 10 star review i don’t think it be enough to portray how terrible this dealership is. I had a good experience buying my jeep, but from there it’s been nothing but xxxx. The service department is so incompetent it is embarrassing. I was told i had an oil leak buy the fast lane service, so i made an appointment to take my jeep in. The first time the “cleaned it” and had me drive 1000 miles and bring it back, so i did and they had my car for 2.5 weeks. I took it in for the next oil change and they said i had the same leak. I talked to Nate, the service manager, and he was so condescending and rude telling me it wasn’t the same leak even though i had both pamphlets and it was. I took it in 3 times for them to “clean” it because it was “residual” and not an actual leak. They finally agreed that it was a leak and kept my car for 3 weeks never giving me an update. I called at the end of the 3rd week and dirk(service coordinator) told me they lost my car. After 4 more days i finally got the call it was fixed. Only to pick it up with an empty tank and 400 miles added to my car. I got home and it was still leaking, so they had me come in to clean it and drive 1000 more miles. After which i took it in again they had it for 28 days with no updates and were so unbelievably rude to us when we called for updates. The general manager was informed as well as the service director but it took 4 calls to each before either called me back. I finally picked it up, and it is still leaking! They have no idea what they are doing and are absolutely rude and condescending when you try and express concerns.

Amazing customer service

Dirk in the service department was amazing. He was really kind and super helpful. He kept us updated every step of the way. He was very knowledgeable and personable. I would highly recommend not only this dealership but working with Dirk directly.

New 2020 RAM purchase

I traveled from Colorado (325 miles) one way to look at purchasing a new RAM pickup. I had been in contact with Kelsey via email for a week and had explained what I was looking for. I am quite familiar with Utah as I was born in Layton and grew up there and in Kaysville so I knew right where Doug Smith CDJR is located. I decided to venture out and take a look at some specific pickups I had viewed on the website. She set me up with Michael S in sales. He let me look at and test drive what I wanted. Even washed it off prior to my test drive. Long story short is I was offered a very good amount for my trade in and a the purchase price of the RAM Warlock 1500 was where I wanted to be at. Brooke in finance was awesome as well with the paperwork. No one here was pushy. I was relaxed and all went well. I will recommend to anyone even if you need to travel some distance to come here to be treated fairly.

Treated very nicely.

Andy was great to work with! We were greeted promptly and the Jeep that we were wanting to check out was already parked in front ready to go for a test drive. Andy was great at explaining features.

Does not back up their work

Terrible service, no warranties. We've been bringing our vehicle here for 3 years. They told us every time we brought it that their work was guaranteed. Today we brought it in to have a problem fixed from a previous repair they had done. And surprise! Now that they'd have to fix something that was their mistake, they're saying it's not warrantied and we have to pay for it. We'll be going somewhere else from now on, somewhere that actually backs up their work and doesn't tell you they will cover things, only to have the next person tell you they don't.
