Very friendly, great cars to choose from and they helped us tremendously. I would definitely recommend them to anyone. They are a class act for sure.

Never shop elsewhere AGAIN!
In a bind to get a replacement for a car that died unexpectedly I ubered to Retek. I went to view a vehicle that had been taken to the shop that very day for repairs. With my tight budget Joe took every reasonable action to help me find something on the lot that I could buy. I’ve been buying cars for over 30 years and I can honestly say I’ve never met another salesperson as upfront, sincere, and patient as Joe Retek. We ended up getting into a newer vehicle with ZERO rust, a super strong motor and a clean interior, out the door at a price UNDER my budget. I couldn’t be happier and I WILL BE BACK FOR MY NEXT VEHICLE!! Note: these vehicles aren’t the $20k used cars you see elsewhere, that have barely been sat in and rubbed with diapers. These vehicles have lived, have run families hither and yon, and they show the signs of that use but that doesn’t make them anything but what they are: used cars! Joe’s prices reflect that perfectly so if you’re reasonable there’s ever chance your experience will match mine. There will always be room at my table for Joe and his family.

Buyer Beware!
Today we went to buy my 18 yr old daughter a used car. She really liked the Nissan Murano. They had one there at a decent price. The guy Tony comes to help us. He tells us today was his first day and he was on the job for one hour. I did not believe him. If it was his first hour, someone would be training him on their procedures. Anyways, we go for a test drive in this SUV. It drives ok, and my daughter really likes it. The one issue we found was the driver seat leaned towards the door. It felt a little loose. When we got back, we mentioned the seat to Tony. He said yes, they know about the seat and it needs a new spring. If you are 1 hour on the job, how do you already know about what it wrong with the cars and seem so familiar with them? Anyways, we tell him we may be interested and might be back with my husband later to give the final ok. In the afternoon, the 3 of us go back. The first thing my husband points out is a giant rusty hole on top of the vehicle. We are short, we would have never seen it. He pulls out a flashlight to inspect the seat. THE SEAT WAS NOT EVEN MOUNTED IN THE CAR!! It is just placed in the car. It is not missing a spring, the seat is not even mounted to the car! This man had no problem selling my daughter a car where the drivers seat is not mounted in the car!!! To think what would happen if she was in an accident! Stay away from this dealership! They do not care about their customers or even have a concious! Tony started lying to us the minute we stepped in the lot! Fortunatly my husband inspected the car furthur. My daughter fell for the first day act and thought it would be cool to give Tony his first sale! Sickening!

We at Retek Auto Sales are genuinely sorry you had a poor experience with us. We do want to let you know it was in fact Tony's first day of work; he is a brand new employee of ours. We do keep notes on all our vehicles and were unaware that the seat was in as extremely poor condition as you mentioned, but it has been promptly pulled from inventory and sent to a repair shop. We value our customers feedback and apologize you left us not 100% satisfied.

Drove from Wisconsin to Illinois check in hand from my Credit Union to buy car. Car was NOT as advertised. Inspection proved over $3500 in required repairs on $2500 car. Some of the cost in that $3500 was a fee of $100 for further inspection - NOT REPAIR. So $3500 was light on the cost to cure side. Even if repairs cost me one half of repair estimate still way out of line. Retex owned the car for about a year as shown by internet VIN search. Every few months they'd drop its price. Started at over $4,000 WITH same mileage quoted on each price drop. They had to know everything wrong with car - just failed to disclose any of it to me. Showed no surprise when I mentioned all the items wrong with the car. Said I could get some of the work done at a better price. Vehicle was unsafe to drive due to traction control problems, mismatched tires, and tires needing replacement. Had no stability on snow/ice and was difficult to get under control when it skidded -- much more than normal. I would not let people test drive a vehicle in such condition. I could have wrecked it. I'm a good driver too. Wasted my time. Wasted my banks time. Cost me a car rental and overnight hotel stay. If they had disclosed issues I could have possibly put together a financing package including paying for needed repairs. Fixed the car may have been worth the asking price and repair cost. Issue becomes risk. Some of the issues may have required much more to cure than vehicle was worth. If they would not take that risk why would I? Car looked good -- but with all the repairs I would have bought a "lawn ornament". They did disclose defects on another car -- cheap -- advertised as a Mechanics Special. I do not get this. Disclose on one car -- not disclose on another car. Strange. Nice folks, good prices. But this car had everything that could go wrong WAS wrong. Let the buyer BEWARE.

Bought a car from them Monday
Bought a car from them, nice people no pressure and easy to deal with, no sales BS like I have gotten elsewhere. I saw the negative reviews, from people who bought a cheap used car but expect full warranty and a perfect car apparently. I got a good deal and found the people there helpful and reasonable, would come back.

An okay experience.
Came to this dealership to buy a car, checked it out, drove an hour and half to find out the car I wanted had a check engine light on which was not told, so I bought a charger instead which I'm happy about but it's been 2+ weeks and haven't got the title yet after calling multiple times so I've been without the car. Overall it was alright.

No Carfax
I emailed them through Cars.com. I received an email from them responding to my question of do they supply a Carfax report. Their response was that I was welcome to get my own report. I stopped by the lot, walked around for about 10 minutes, and nobody bothered coming out to even say hello.

Buying used Tahoe
I looked for a good used Tahoe for my wife. I found the perfect 2004 Tahoe LT at Elite. It was a great buying experience because of the friendly staff and fair price. They fixed the AC and even put in a new battery before I brought my wife there to see it on September 8, 2016. 6000 miles later it still runs great, and we have had no problems with it. I would definitely buy from Elite again.
