    So not even a year after purchase. Replaced starter twice-$800 (with two), muffler is about to fall of, drive shaft and housing are shot -$1688 not including... labor from my mechanic. This car has had nothing but problems. Not to mention they still owe me 1/2 of the repair from the 1st starter replacement, which they said they won’t pay me because I left. A “slew” of bad reviews. Junk cars for sale by a junk dealer. Steer clear these shysters.

    They lie and promise but never deliver. Shady dealership that doesn't disclose any issues with vehicles. Terrible customer service once you buy the car.... Bought a Subaru from them and had a blown head gasket. Promised free oil changes but didn't deliver. Buyer beware!

    We were in the market for a used pickup truck and found the right one at Highline. Every part of the process was extremely transparent including having... our own mechanic look the car over. Peter was great to deal with and made the whole process easy.

    I drove from Boston, MA to this dealer. Prior to coming, I asked if it was a smokers car and for the sales person to send me any pictures of the vehicle... with any defects/damage. I also asked if there was anything I should know about the vehicle prior to making the trip. When I arrived I could smell smoke in the vehicle which was the first lie but not a big deal because I could pay to get it taken out. I asked why the car didn't have a front plate holder the salesperson told me he would mail me one. I purchased the car took it to a body shop to do some touch up painting where the auto body shop discovered that the grill was snapped in 5 places which is why it didn't have a front plate holder on it. I bought a new grill and took it to get inspected to find out that it failed inspection. The daytime running lights do not work because the vehicle had aftermarket lights on it and the car had a bald tire. After a week of calling they agreed to put a new tire on it but they refuse to fix the daytime running lights and told me I should have checked that when I bought the car. Not good customer service, the car was filthy when I picked it up and they deceive their customers. They knew well that the headlights were after market and the DTR lights didn't work. They failed to disclose this to me when I bought the car. In the state of MA the DTR lights have to work in order to pass inspection and now I have to pay for them myself if I want to pass inspection.

    It's been a month now since we bought our Jeep 2012, above average mileage, one minor accident, from HCC and couldn't be happier with our purchase. We... were looking for a SUV and saw this Jeep on the internet so called up the dealership. Mike Bennett called us back and we set up an appointment for us to come and see the vehicle. We viewed and test drove the vehicle, agreed on the price, then came back the next day to finalize the sale. We paid cash, no finance. One month later and our Jeep runs wonderfully. There have been no problems at all with the vehicle. What we liked about the whole experience: No pressure, no hassle, friendly service and reliable vehicle. I can honestly say, I would do the whole purchase again. Mike had placed the vehicle we were interested in in a prominent position so it was easy to look around. The keys were already waiting for us so we could look at the car on our own. He never hovered or pressured us in any way to purchase this car. He didn't try and upsell it. We took the vehicle for two test drives and loved the feel of it. Upon our return, we let Mike know we were interested in buying the car and Mike made it all so easy, a very friendly and approachable guy. He gave us the list of details that we'd need to sort out the insurance and money and we came back the next day to finalize the deal. I would highly recommend HCC to anyone looking for a reliable used vehicle. The prices are competitive, the service immaculate and friendly.

    Mike answered my calls and emails quickly, gave me the keys for a test drive, no sales pitch, blah , blah, just did what was needed, after my car selection,... was patient as I was arranging financing, no pressure to put a down payment etc.. Lou was quick, efficient , and friendly, to deal with all the paperwork, was out in less than one hour after bringing the check. I dread buying a car, after dealing with some shady dudes, this experience was very good, and add ons were quite reasonable i,e, no vin fee or BS.. Go see Highline if you want a no drame experience.

    Do not buy this car. I test drove it to my mechanics and he put it on the lift . The frame is so badly rusted out it is the equivalent of terminal Bone... Cancer. I told them it is probably not safe to drive and they are still advertising it hoping to find some poor sucker. Avoid this VETERAN OWNED DEALERSHIP ( I am a veteran ) That car wont last 2 yrs Tops !!!

Ed, as you stat...ed, you were able to take the vehicle to your mechanic and with that said, you choose not to purchase the vehicle. Even though this vehicle is not for you, it still meets the requirements for the state of CT. The Ford Escape that you are referring to is a $4,995 car.
