After oil changes for 4 yrs.

After oil changes for 4 yrs. without additional repairs my luck ran out. I had an oil chang a month ago, but my airbag lite came on so took it to the Myrtle Beach Hyundai. My advisor said it would be a $195 diagonistic fee, but all was free. My advisor left early. My 2012 Sonata SEL with 72,662 miles and 3 hrs later after 5pm, another advisor checked me out stating they are a lot of major things wrong with my car and my advisor will call me on it, he didn't want to get involved, but he said the car is ok to drive over highway 31 to NC. 2 days later I finally talked with my advisor at closing Friday nite, telling my my car is at risk of driving and may need to be towed in. I shouldn't drive to an event that nite, telling me the valor &timing cover is leaking oil, cv axile is leaking grease, lower control arm bushing &lower ball joint are cracked and torn, cabin and engine filters needed. I was very concerned with this conflicting information. So Sat, I called for anyone that would answer, but was told to wait for the service manager Monday. Monday AM he called we had a nice talk, he looked at the tech's and advisor's notes and assured me that I could drive to Missouri and back w/o a problem, he promised, another conflict. My advisor said that she had been in contact with car shield service for me and told me to drop off my car and car shield would give me a rental, just call them. Wrong, I called car shield to rent and they said that I need a claim number, conferenced hyundai advisor with car shield and the advisor was silent, when car shield said that she is incorrect. I called car shield again to get a status of hyundai advisors progress since my hyundai advisor was evasive with me on what was happening after 2 weeks. Car Shield informed me that Hyundai has never called. A new car saleman called telling me to bring my title to trade my car in on a new car, without a conersation with me, wow. Took my car to local mechanics for a overall check and nothing is wrong. A hyundai new salesman text me the last couple of days, really. If you have a good product, you shouldn't have to rip seniors off to serve your needs. The service manager, his team and new carsales team are all involved, I feel. Are they this hard up that they have to go back to the used car saleman attitude, ripping off seniors? What is Myrtle Beach Hyundai service coming too? Customers be aware.......6 months ago I was told I needed a new oil pan($500)purchased, but did I really?....... I am disappointed after being a loyal customer for 4 years.

I purchased the car brand new off the lot after looking

I purchased the car brand new off the lot after looking at advertisements on the Hyundai corporate website. The car was a Sonata n line. The car was shown on the website to have a manual mode on the cruise control. And it was proven by the dealership, but it does not have it at the months of working with Hyundai corporate. The only person that was able to assist me, but this issue is the dealership. Hyundai corporate. Sent me emails, apologizing for the false advertisement and the car not having the advertise features. I was told all the information i sent over to the dealer was presented to the sales manager, as well as the general manager. I’ve been trying to contact either of them for over a month and have not been able to receive a response. It’s very worrying that even after having an Email from Hyundai corporate confirming the car is missing. The advertise features dealership will not contact me. And Hyundai is unwilling to do anything. They also listed the performance of the vehicle three separate times on the website. All different numbers I purchased the vehicle because it was claimed to have a 0 to 60 mph time of under five seconds 4.7 This was also determined to be false and there is not a single test showing the car is capable of that, Very dissatisfied with my purchase and my experience. I do not feel safe In this car, it’s a car was capable of doing what was advertised and had the advertise features I would not be writing this.

decline of myrtle beach hyundai

i bought a car there a month or so ago. Iwas away so car was not used for a month. im leaving the next day for a long trip and was having tire problems. Since they offer complimentary service calls from salesman on how is car i thought they were continuing past good service, wrong. i drove into new building it is basically a drop off point for car and a drop dead area for service. The order writer comments when i said im getting tire pressure warnings but pressure is ok, i admit i was a little aggressive but usually get that when dealing with people dodging responsibility. The order writer comments , do you have a appointment, we proberly dont have part and we are soon closing. He was useless talked to service manager who ended up saying what do you want. IM not in here for xxxxs and giggles, i want car looked at . The service manager was so worried about closing up he told another worker dont open gate and let another customer in. I m telling you your major problem with the service is the manager. Ive owned over 30 new cars and know the deal. Read complaints about your place its all service. You expect me to bring the car in for free service. No way you cant handle it. He is worried about closikng i drive off pissed and 4 of your techs out back hanging. Im not after techs but dont make service manager look good. The next day driving north i got part, paid for it myself and got a tire shop to change it,all on my buck. Im done with myrtle beach hyundai , all bad press is true they sell cars they cant service

Service issue

Called service depth for over a hour and no one ever answered. Ended up having to drive 15 miles to dealership to make an appointment.

Shop any other dealership but this one

The management team has shown me that they are more concerned with profits than they are with customer service. Zero concern for the people THEY are selling to.

New Car Purchase

I've never shopped anywhere like Myrtle Beach Hyundai nor will I ever go anywhere else for a vehicle. These are the most down to earth honest people on the planet and yes it's unheard of. They gave me an incredible price and initially was told my interest rate would be somewhere from .75 to 1.5 higher. Surprisingly, when I was given my actual interest rate in the finance office it was much lower. These people are saints. They are all laid back no pressure and the warranty speaks for itself. So thankful and very refreshing not your EVERYDAY dealership. They set the bar very high! Kudos to them!

DO NOT BUY FROM MYRTLE BEACH HYUNDAI!!

DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE!! **They deleted the FB review so I'm posting everywhere else! This is a review based on FACT not emotion. They did have a service mgr call. He called my b/f, he had made the appt but car is in MY name. He had the nerve to leave on message I see your g/f was very busy on her keyboard last night. Said he wanted to talk to me but didn't have my info. He didn't look very hard because the car and VIN# are in my name AND I bought it there. He also sort of implied it was OUR fault not theirs that they didn't catch the wrong part had been shipped. DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE!! When you buy a car you expect a great service dept and team. its convenient. close and affiliated! You WON'T get that here!! I have NEVER received good service here and here are just 2 of my stories with them! I needed a rim and tire. It was ordered Monday, we got the call today it was in. They said to come down and well get the tire/rim on. We leave work early to take the car down. We are there abt 90 mins and someone comes and says 'We're sorry it seems we rec'd the wrong part but the box was labeled properly. We got a spare rim not full size. It looks like some one ordered a rim and ret'd a spare.' BIG mistake telling me that because now you're telling me this piece went through THREE sets of hands and NO ONE caught this mistake?! It was a return so return dept NEVER checked it, it was SHIPPED and NO ONE checked the part and then REC'D and NO ONE checked it?! Sorry, We'll order another and it will be here Tuesday. UNACCEPTABLE and NOT ok!! Another past Service Dept nightmare story for MB Hyundai.. I had a short somewhere in my car that was a SAFETY hazard. I would turn my turn signal on and it shut off my headlights and dash lights. This is a huge safety concern/hazard especially at night. I called the Service dept and told them what was happening. I also told them in was leaving in two days to drive up to PA for vacation. They said sorry, we are booked solid. We can fit you in next week.. WHAT?! Did you not just understand what I told you?! I called my old dealership up in PA, Bowser Hyundai. Now mind you, I hadn't been ther in 8-9 years because I had moved to SC. However, I was still in their records from my Grand Am. I told them what was going on and they said to bring the car In right away and we can take care of it for you. I THEN told them i wouldn't be in Pittsburgh for another 2 days, I was driving in for vaca. Their 1st response was, isn't there a Hyundai down there that can get you in. Well, we know how that went.. I told them no, they said ok, as soon as you get in town, come down so we can get the car looked at, you shouldn't be driving it with a short like that. Now THAT is how a service dept SHOULD react! You will NOT get service like that here!! I only shared 2 experiences about MB Hyundai service dept. I have more if you want them.. There was a guy in the waiting room today who had the nerve to say to me 'it isn't the dealership, it's the service dept' WRONG buddy!!! The dealership hires service dept management, the dealership signs service dept payroll checks!! They are one and the same! The dealership doesn't fix or address it, it is on them. Stay away from MB Hyundai!!

Third strike. You’re out. Wrong oil in our car. Too much oil in our car. Today it was obvious they had no clue on how to fix our a/c. Don’t think they have ever seen a Hyundai Ionic.

Bucket List...New Car...Right Color...Sunroof

I have had 4 other Hyundais. One is still in my possession. One is now belonging to my oldest son. The Hyundai he owned was turned in as a trade on the new 2017 Tucson Limited. This dealership had to go find for me the car I wanted. The salesman, Marcus, found the exact car in less than 2 weeks & had it brought to the dealership. Josh, the IT guy, connected both cell phones to the car and the garage door automatic opener while the car was still at the dealership. Chris, the financial guy, enrolled my email so the new car is well-connected.
