My experience with this dealer from my enquiry to the purchase was exceptional. I was a little nervous traveling nearly 100 miles to buy a car, especially... doing a trade-in with negative equity, but Angelica Angel got all the paperwork and approvals squared away before hand, and made my whole buying and trading in experience very smooth and rewarding. She went above and beyond to secure my dream car and come up with a deal that was within my budget. I am so over the moon with my new car, it is in immaculate condition and I got a great deal on it. I would highly recommend this dealer who puts the customer first, as opposed to just meeting their sales quota's. 5 stars on service quality and financing.
Thanks for sharing your experience with us! We are so glad that Angie got you into a great vehicle! Congratulations on your new ride! How exciting! Ha...ve a great rest of your week!
I had an excellent buying experience online with Butler Toyota. The vehicle I was looking for was listed for much less at Butler than other dealers in... my area. I made an offer online, which was accepted by the dealership. Casey the internet sales manager was prompt and helped me with my questions about financing. When I came in to finalize the deal and take delivery Ali was super nice and worked hard to make sure we had everything ready to go. They even went above and beyond to correct a tiny cosmetic part that was not installed at the factory, by ordering a replacement part and shipping to my house. I would certainly recommend Butler, easy no hassle buying experience and all the staff I worked with were very nice and very professional.
Thank you for the positive feedback! We love to make sure our customers enjoy every minute of their experience here. It is wonderful to hear that you ...enjoyed yours! Have a wonderful week!
I was not planning on actually purchasing a vehicle that very day, but after hearing the options from Danny Gillian, I realized he had my best interest... in mind. Everything was explained in great detail in a timely manner with great efficiency. Scott, the Finance Manager, helped me through the paperwork and, again, everything was explained thoroughly. This is my third vehicle purchased from Butler. I still have the Rav I purchased in 2000. It has 212,000 miles and still runs.
Beware if you are looking to purchase a vehicle from this dealership. My experience started with a text from the dealership that it would not be a waste... of my time to visit the dealership and that they would provide an overall great experience. Unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience and a total waste of time. The test drive experience was great but ended with the salesman offering to sale me the vehicle for $6,000 over what it was listed on their internet page. Fortunately, I took screenshots because as I suspected they increased the price on the website 2 days later. Visit at your own risk, as I hope your experience will be better. Honesty, integrity and trustworthiness were definitely not on display during my visit. And by the way, I purchased my first Toyota from here many years ago and it was a much different experience back then. Not sure what as happened, but I can assure you I will never return.

I wouldn't buy from Butler Toyota again or recommend anyone else do either. That or take a lawyer with you to tell you what all the paper work means.... In the finance office the paperwork saying when my first payment was scheduled is different than what the sales rep told me. I guess taking advantage of a old handicapped guy makes me the sucker for going there. It's not worth taking the car back since they didn't do what they were going to say, but Butler Toyota is no different than any other big car dealer, they are there to make as much money as possible off the little guy. Approach with caution.

It was my first time buying a vehicle from a dealership and the process itself is exhausting. At the end of the process, I felt like the agreement was... fair and reasonable, but getting there was a process that I feel was completely avoidable and unnecessary. After all, no two cars or people are alike, so why try to run and gun customers with ambiguous lingo? On their first dealership experience? During the pandemic? However, I did appreciate the salesman who assisted me (Mark Patrick II) as he was patient, helpful, and made sure to communicate what I needed to the sales manager. I now have a reliable vehicle that I am comfortable driving and Butler Toyota helped to make that happen. For that, and specifically Mark, I am thankful. I would recommend going to Butler Toyota if the customer were to deal with Mark. Otherwise, I’m not so sure.
Terrible experience! My husband and I tried to purchase a vehicle from their used car unit and had one of the worst sales experiences I've ever had. We... are not local so we were negotiating with their online sales team. This particular vehicle had some non-standard features added by a previous owner that I wanted photos of. There were continuous delays in getting the photos. We'd tentatively agreed upon a price, I submitted an application for pre-financing but I wanted to get those photos before committing. They sent the photos and then texted me an hour later to say they "Sold the vehicle. Sorry." When I called and talked to them they were beyond rude and blamed us for trying to negotiate, asking for "so many things", "emailing them so much" and having different last names (very sexist attitude!) so the "computer system didn't track". We simply wanted clarification on a non-standard feature! You'd think they'd know how to respond to emails and requests like this as the online sales team. Needless to say we will never buy with them and would not recommend. Marty Keefe (Sales Manager), James Dooley (Internet Sales Manager) and Brooke Sanders (Special Financing Analyst) should really think about careers where customer service isn't in the job description.
Thank you for your feedback Mrs. Miller, we are aware of the situation and see that you have emailed us directly. Please let us know if there is anyth...ing else we can help you with. Have a great res of your day.
The service that I received was excellent. My salesman was patient, and kind. Mr Patrick meant my need , and make the process painless . Thank you for... the excellent service.
Thank you for the rave review! We hope you enjoy your new vehicle for years to come. Stay safe, and have a great weekend!
We had high expectation from this dealership based on our recent experience at another dealership under Butler Family Group. In November 2019, we purchased... a BMW X5 from Audi South Atlanta. Quintel approached us as we arrived at Butler Toyota and helped us to test drive Camry XLE hybrid car. We agreed to a final drive out price. However, financing with Tyler was a disaster. Two specific issues: (1) He showed us a warranty package that included road hazard, gap insurance, and bumper-to-bumper extended warranty and quoted a price of $30 per month. He even gave us price breakdown: $20 per month for extended warranty and $10 per month for the remaining two. However, we dropped gap insurance and what ended up on our contract was $799 for road hazard and $2299 for extended warranty, which came out to be more than $50 per month for a 60-month loan term. We had told him that we would refinance the vehicle with my credit union to lower interest rate. That’s what we did with our BMW. Tyler did lower the interest rate, but we did not get the benefit of lower interest rate as it was eaten up by the high cost of warranty. Bottom line: the cost of warranty was not $30 per month, if you keep the interest rate out of the picture. Tyler’s contract was very confusing and the following day we ended up re-contacting at higher interest rate and dropped warranty coverages. We will consider buying warranty coverage when we refinance with our credit union. (2) Tyler also offered us to add the property tax in our loan amount so we don’t have to go to SC DMV office. He looked up the property tax based on the county of our residence and quoted to add $563 to our loan to cover the property tax. We declined and said that we will go to the DMV office to pay it on ourselves. We did that yesterday and you will be surprised to know that our property tax was only $256. Thank goodness that we declined Tyler’s offer to add $563 to our loan amount to cover property tax! We had one more bad experience with this dealership and there is no excuse for this one. We had purchased window tinting as part of the deal and we agreed to pick up the vehicle the next day after tinting job was completed. Quintel told us that he would call us once our car was ready to pick up. The next day, we waited and waited and waited, but the call never came. With 3.5 hours to drive home from the dealership, we could not wait any longer. Finally, at 4:30 PM we decided to go to the dealership. Quintel was not there, but our vehicle had been ready. This kind of unprofessionalism is not expected from a dealership, especially towards out-of-state customers. When we picked up the vehicle, we noticed that the window tint was already peeling off on driver window. After seeing us waiting for a long time in the lobby, Mr. Robert Branches came to help us. He took care of the issue right away and the issue was resolved within 15-20 minutes. Conclusion and advice: We did not have good experience with this dealership and they did not live up to our expectations (except Mr. Branches). Quintel was unprofessional and did not keep his promise to call us when our car was ready. In fact, no one from the dealership called us. Be careful when dealing with Tyler. If you must buy warranty coverage, then ask for total cost and never trust the per month cost. Keep interest rate out of the picture when dealing with warranty cost. For our case, $30 per month times 60 months equals $1800. So, the cost in the contract should not have exceeded $1800. Avoid adding property tax to your loan. We would have ended up paying more than double interest. Please keep in mind that you can always refinance with another lender (shop around) and you will have an opportunity to buy warranty coverage including gap insurance when you refinance.

Rob made the buying process super easy! It was pouring down rain and we went on not one but two test drives of the same vehicle! He was very knowledgeable... about the vehicle and helped us with any questions! He was truly a no pressure salesman that made this an easy process!
Thanks for the positive review! Rob is a great representative to work with! Congrats on the new ride. Have a great rest of your week!
