Poor service
Had the car for 2 months without much communication. If I hadn?t followed up and threatened to Move the car, it would never have been fixed. I understand lack of personnel but the lack Of communication is no excuse.

Let me share what volkswagen of clarksville did to me! So my mom finds a nice 15' kia optima online. We go test drive it and buy it. My mom locked the price in and I didn't know that she locked in a price. I paid $500 more than it was listed for. After driving it for 2 days the car starts to die on me while driving. So I have it towed there and they said they would pay for the bill. They had it for almost a week and kept swearing it was in perfect condition and it must have just been a fluke. They never even bothered to call one time by the way. I'd call for an update every day and they would say that they would call me back and just didn't. So after all this time with no car and no communication i get upset and said there is obviously something wrong with that car and if they won't fix it I guess I'll have to take it somewhere else to get it looked at. After I said that they threatened to stick me with the tow bill. So a friend went up there with me and was asking basic questions about what can be done such as a refund or a trade in. The sales manager Kevin stuck his finger in her face and yelled at her telling her its not her car so she doesn't need to even speak! I told him that was unacceptable and he can't talk to people that way. So he yells at me and tells that the car is perfect and tells me he's not giving me my money back, he's not trading it out and to take my keys and leave. He then throws the key in my lap and tells me to get out. So I take the car next door to kia and try to get an appraisal. Guess what? The car dies on the sales associate 3 times before he even got to the stop light. He came back in with the hazard lights on and told me he can't take that car. So we go right back with this on paper stating the car is clearly a xxx and it keeps dying. So they still refused to give me my money back. So they said we will trade it in but we only have 3 cars for you to choose from. We'll guess what?! They are all xxx cars. One jeep with over 200k miles on it. Completely filthy. The other was a prius that had trouble starting. Lastly there was a mazda that was in better shape than the others. So my choice was to take the kia that keeps dying on me or choose one of the other xxxxty cars. So I chose the unxxxxtiest of the cars. The Mazda drives but makes some strange puttering noises. The tires are WAY TOO big for the car and they are pushing up against the frame. So the tires and rims all have to be replaced, the brakes need to be done and a belt has to be replaced. My friends husband looked at it and told me those are the 3 things that need to be done before I can drive it. So basically I have to put another grand or more I to that car when at the end up the day I paid 14k for it already. So now owe my parents 5k and still have no car to drive. I'm just praying that I can trade it in for something reliable without having to finance anything. Otherwise I will have two car payments. One to my parents and one to a dealership. Something good has got to come from this crapshow. But if your ever considering where to get a car from, DONT BUY FROM VOLKSWAGEN OF CLARKSVILLE! I will say that Kaylee and Steven tried extremely hard to lavage this absolutely horrible situation. Unfortunately they are very limited as they are only sales associates and not in management but their dealership left a single mother with no car to drive and not a dollar to her name after spending 13k on a car.

I love Volkswagen but they don’t love me.
I bought a used 2018 Volkswagen Jetta in Detroit 2019 and it had a problem with wearing the passenger front tire out. Alignment was a problem from a previous minor accident. Volkswagen Clarksville claimed it was a $1200.0O part and labor to fix the the front end from ruining $250.00 tires. Well they claimed this rack and pinion part was bent and was the cause for ruining my tire. I kept the old part their was no evidence of being bent in any way. A thousand miles later another ruined tire. So I took it to another front end Mechanic Charlie’s wheel Alignment on hyw 131. He ordered a wheel assembly for the passenger side and replaced it and aligned it and 110,000 miles later no ruined tires ever and alignment stayed true. April 2023 I took my car in for recall repairs I have heard nothing for 3 weeks. I phoned the dealership’s main number for update last week and the phone would answer and hang up. So after 3 calls I paid a personal visit everyone in service was on employee appreciation day. A sales person promised to take my number and have service call me back. A week later nothing total silence. None of the managers will take my call on Monday April 17, 2023. I had called and asked to speak with the dealership manager “voicemail” I called back asked to intercom the manager no answer then I asked for service manager Anthony and I got John. He was professional and said the were waiting for the warranty approval to refinish my rims. Good news…. I also bought from VW Clarksville Indiana refurbished painted wheels 4 years and the paint blisters off within 12 months. The previous management refused to honor the lifetime paint refinishing on the wheels. 3 years later they are going now to honor their original warranty. And I am now waiting for refinishing Wednesday or Thursday. I do a lot of driving and really love the Audi/ Volkswagen Jetta brand. But my attention now is drawn to the future car brand that has turned the car industry on it’s head. TESLA Maybe that is the reason why, I don’t know but the past 5 years at Volkswagen has not been pleasant. I now purchased a 2023 Honda Odyssey Touring van for my wife. And I believe my next vehicle will be TESLA I wish the owner of VW dealership well, if he or they care. There is a serious disconnect with reality here in basic things at this dealership.

Came to this dealership to buy a new car. I made an appointment the night before and drove 3 1/2 hours to buy the vehicle. Everything was set up to buy the vehicle. 15 minutes before I got to the dealership they sold the vehicle to someone else. Absolutely the worst experience I’ve ever had with a dealership.
