Shady experience while trying to purchase a vehicle. Avoid this dealership. Made a deal over email due to my schedule at work. Before finalizing, found... out they lowered the cost by dropping the vehicle to "not certified status" so no warranty. This is not an honest way to run a business.
I have recently purchased a used Passat from the above mentioned car dealership. The car is a 2015 VW Passat. Paid in full. A gift for my 16 yo son that... is about to get his license. My wife brought that car home on Saturday and when I inspected it I found a problem whe trunk that that doesn’t latch properly. My wife brought it back yesterday for it to be repaired and the dealership asked for an extra $ 475!! After I had just bought it 3 days ago! Apparently once you leave their lot, they’re done with you. No service, no returns, no customer satisfaction policy!. it’s not their problem anymore. Anyway, if you make the mistake and buy a car from them, make sure you get an expert to inspect it, cause they WILL trick you...
My overall experience was great they took the time and help undo damage that was done to our credit structure by another dealer to get us a great car... and a even better interest rate. Above and Beyond Customer Service !
Purchased a car from them, the car was promised up and down that it was perfect. Got it home a few days later and noticed it was making a lot of noises,... took it into my mechanic and got a quote for almost the price I paid for the car in repairs with parts and labor. I was completely taken advatange of and they refuse to help me with any of it. Absolutely horrible dealership would never go back and would never recommend to anyone!
flew in from out of state to purchase a car. was given the run around from the entire staff. a bunch of young kids. their lunch was more important then... helping me out. ignored my request to have the simplest things fixed on the car prior to the purchase, even an oil change. till this day they do not stand behind their vehicles. buyer beware. go somewhere else. do not waste your time or lose your money to these guys..my opinion
Bought used car for daughter. 6 trips to get dents fixed, headliner cleaned, spare key as salesman promised! Had to hold title to trade-in as collateral... to get this done! Never did detail car as promised. Service a joke. I will never use this company again and do not recomend it to anyone. Manager acted incredulous that we would hold salesman to word. Seriously? Avoid trouble and go elsewhere, anywhere.
Horrible experience. Drove from Texas and paid cash for Passat on August 29th. Paper tag expired on Oct 9th. Just need 1 form faxed or emailed from these... people to title car in Texas and it appears to be an impossible task for them to accomplish. They rarely answer the phone. If they somebody does answer I get transferred to new person that never answers and voice box always full. Even the manager's voicemail box full. I am now stuck with new car that I cannot not legally drive.
I visited this dealership to lease a 2016 Passat. VW was running a special advertised lease deal and I wanted to take advantage of the deal. When I arrived,... the salesman said he had never heard of the deal. I told him the commercials were on TV and the ad was posted on the VW website. He logged into the website and found the special. He said the had to speak with the manager. I waited 45 minutes for him to return to the cubicle. The salesman stated that he couldn't honor the deal but could get me into a lesser equipped Passat with less permitted miles. I said "Have a nice day" as I proceeded to the door. He then quickly changed his mind and said that he could lease at the advertised miles/down payment/time frame. Just then the finance manager walked over and said to the salesman (while ignoring me), "Giver her the RLine, not the advertised model". (The RLine is a less equipped vehicle) I test drove the RLine and was satisfied with the car and proceeded to lease the car. While in the finance manager's office, I waited another 50 minutes for him to grace me with his presence. He never looked at me, gave me a cold-fish hand shake and said that it was mandatory that I purchase the package that covers all damage that may occur to the vehicle during the lease at a cost of $300 more a month. I said I wasn't interested and would cover those costs myself, he replied "No one ever does that - no one in their right mind refuses this package". I told him to proceed without adding the package. His face was red and he began to squirm in his seat. When the paperwork and money exchange was complete I asked for the owner's manual. He told me he doesn't give owner's manuals to lease customers and that I had to download it from the website.
I visited this dealership to look at a used Tahoe that they had advertised on their site. When I arrived, I was told that a salesman had lost the keys... several days prior, and they couldn't show me the vehicle. I asked that they call me when either the keys were located, or new keys made. To date, no call. Guess they didn't want to sell it.
In 2014, I bought two brand new TDI cars, a Jetta, and a Golf. As most know about the lawsuit, those who participated in the buyback process possibly had... a frustrating experience like I did. Prior to turning my vehicles in, I worked with Logan O'Leary and Jason Peltz to select and arrange replacements for my TDI's. My plan was to walk in, turn in my diesels, and have everything else regarding the new car sales complete so that I could walk right back out with replacement cars. When my appointments came to turn my TDI's in arrived, the Volkswagen Corporation did not honor the original notarized offer and offered me a lower price than their "estimate." I found out that the "estimate" is based on driving 12,000 miles or less per year in your car. As a daily (sometimes up to 4 times a day) Causeway commuter, I had just under 50,000 miles on both of my vehicles which reduced what VW offered for the buyback. I was not very pleased with the process or the why's, but that's how it goes, I guess. Jason was willing to rework both of my new car deals to make it work with VW's settlement offer. As someone with experience in the car business, I know that Jason went out of his way to make me whole when the VW Corporation wouldn't. Logan and Jason treated me wonderfully, and I left there with two brand new VW's and a lot of gratitude. I am so very appreciative of their effort, patience, and willingness to honor the original sales plan we arranged although he most likely didn't have to. I have owned many cars in my lifetime from many makes and dealerships, and none have matched the satisfaction I've had with my VW cars. They are like little rolling bank vaults...solid, drive very well, and have given me zero troubles. And Volkswagen of Mandeville, hands down, has provided me with the best service, sales experience, professionalism, and follow on care and maintenance than any other car dealership I've ever done business with. Even after the facts of the lawsuit came out, I wouldn't have switched brands or dealers for any reason or incentive based on how Northshore VW has treated and taken care of my family and I. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend VW of Mandeville or the VW brand to anyone. Logan was one of the best front line salesmen I've ever dealt with, and he knows his products very, very well. Jason, without question, is gonna be a hero to me for a long time. He made things work in my favor far beyond what I realistically expected was possible, and he maintained his integrity and held to his commitment even when things didn't go as expected at the diesel turn in. I am beyond grateful for both Jason and Logan and what they did for me. I plan to be a customer for life at this point. Thank you, gentlemen for taking care of me and making me whole after the VW Corporation did not offer to do the same. You are very much appreciated.
