Let me tell you about my experience with Motorcars
Let me tell you about my experience with Motorcars Express. I did my research, checked out reviews, and learned some of the ins and outs of what it would take to purchase. My credit is not the best, but I found a Jeep for a decent price. After doing my homework on this place, everything seems fine. I met with Brian and had a "set limit" of what I did not want to go over for my monthly payment. After spending some time with him, he couldn’t bring it down to my price. I told him I would have to go home, think about it, and weigh my options. Of course, he did not want me to walk away, as any car dealer wouldn’t, after crunching some numbers and seeing who else had what, I concluded that no matter what I do I am going to end up paying out the noise for a car. We spent two days texting back and forth. So I told him I was going to go through the deal we had made. Got all my paperwork together and my co-singers as well. Came into the store and Brian and another guy kept whispering to one another. I gathered my documents and emailed him a few while we were in the store. He asked me if I wanted to check out the car. My sister came with me so I said sure. Said he had to get the miles off the car. O, by the way the car was supposed to be all ready for me by the time I got there, I was not. It was in the back blocked by other cars. When we were outside, he suggested that I take a look at a Hyundai it was a new model but the same price. I asked why. He said the owner said he might as well show it to me. I said I would stick with what we agreed upon. Wouldn’t you know it, “The Bank” was going to charge him a fee if he didn’t sell a warranty? He said he could do the Hyundai without selling a warranty but not the one we agreed on. All that and at the very end he tried this crap. Take what you will from this but that sir was Bull. Say what you will but you and I know better.

Exceptionally awful experience.
I had to get a lawyer. That’s how unethical Motorcars Express proved to be. This is also the first time I’ve ever left a 1 star review. Hopefully this detailed, honest feedback will be a learning lesson so they never try this nonsense with anyone again. I drove 4.5 hours to test drive an Escalade. My first inquiry was regarding the brakes as they were slow to respond. When I asked, I was told “it’s just bc it’s a big car”…mind you, I took my license test in a giant conversion van, I’ve driven plenty of big cars, the brakes reacted just fine in those SUVs. I didn’t like the Escalade and asked “how much would it cost to ship the car? I’m not ready to pull the trigger”. To which they replied “…what do you mean ship?? You drove all this way. Come take a look at some more inventory.” I reluctantly obliged. Turned down everything they showed me until they walked me to this Mercedes. Beautiful car, price was decent as far as what I was willing to pay (later I’d find out what they sold me for $12,500 was only worth $4k- they failed to disclose a plethora of issues). While test driving the Mercedes I noticed how loud it was, louder than what I believe to be normal. When I asked why it was so noisy they said “bc the car is a diesel”…turns out the SUV had a bad wheel bearing that needed to be replaced immediately (after many conversations/insistence on my part - they paid for. But that’s the tip of the ice berg). The car had MASSIVE oil leaks that needed to be serviced asap, an axle needed to be replaced asap, the check engine light came on after I drove the car all the way home (was told it was bc of the NOC sensor - not true) and to top it all off the transmission needed to be replaced. Needless to say, I was livid. I begged them to take the car back and give me my money back bc I put everything I had down on this car and spent an extra $2k in repairs. They eventually ghosted me, stopped replying (I have all of these emails/messages). Finally, I got a lawyer, he made it clear these people violated the Consumer Protection Act. Then they responded. They came back with the most bogus, insulting offer. Essentially, they would only “help me” if I bought another car from them. Motorcars Express proved to be the most unethical car dealer I’ve ever encountered. Hence, why I got a lawyer involved. They tend to be dismissive of their client’s concerns, as I learned. They will probably find someway to spin this, avoid accountability and play it off…but again, I have all the proof necessary to make my case. If I can help someone avoid this experience, then this post is well worth the time/effort. Moving forward, I sincerely hope they choose to treat their clientele with more respect and offer better customer service- bc from my experience, they have neither.
