I purchased a $130,000 vehicle from this dealership
I purchased a $130,000 vehicle from this dealership earlier this year, trusting their reputation and the statements made during the buying process. Unfortunately, my experience since the purchase has been extremely disappointing, and I feel it’s important to share so others know what to expect. When I had the car inspected the same week I bought it, two separate, reputable shops — including a factory-authorized service center — told me the front brakes were nearly worn out (about 5% remaining). This was shocking because the dealership’s inspection report claimed the brakes were at 50% remaining, which they represented to me at the time of sale. I reached out to the dealership for clarification, expecting them to stand by what they said. Instead, I was told that their shop’s measurements were accurate and that I could drive all the way back from California to Washington for a discounted brake job. That suggestion alone was unreasonable — and it completely ignored the fact that two independent inspections confirmed the brakes were almost done. I even reminded them that the owner has been in business for over 30 years and claims to “stand behind his cars.” But in this case, there’s been no accountability or effort to make things right — not even a fair offer to share the cost of the repair. At this point, it’s clear that what was represented at the time of sale doesn’t match the actual condition of the car. I’ve filed documentation and am pursuing the matter formally, but I also want to make sure other buyers are aware. If you’re considering purchasing a vehicle from here, do your own independent inspection — do not rely solely on their report. My experience shows that even with an expensive, high-end car, accuracy and responsibility are not guaranteed. I’ve purchased many cars over the years, and I’ve never experienced this kind of response or lack of integrity after raising a legitimate concern. I hope management eventually realizes that honesty and customer trust are far more valuable than avoiding responsibility.

Dear Kevin, Thank you for sharing your feedback—we truly appreciate hearing from our customers, as it helps us continue refining the exceptional experiences we've built over 35 years at Motorcars Limited. Ensuring every client leaves delighted is a core focus in our weekly team discussions, and we're genuinely sorry to learn that your experience fell short of that standard. We understand your concerns center on the front brake pad depth of your high-performance sports car and our suggestion to handle future maintenance at our dealer cost. From our records, it seems there may have been a misunderstanding: our team aimed to offer a cost-saving option. If this came across differently, we sincerely apologize. Prior to listing the vehicle, our technicians performed a comprehensive service and inspection, noting the front brake pads at 5mm remaining. We're surprised by the reported discrepancy and appreciate the details you provided from your inspections on October 30, 2025. While the quotes didn't include pad measurements or current mileage, one report indicated 4mm depth. Reviewing the Carfax repair order, we see over 2,000 miles driven since purchase—a distance that aligns with normal wear on a high-performance model, potentially explaining the difference from 5mm to 4mm. At Motorcars Limited, we're passionate about sourcing the finest, low-mileage pre-owned vehicles nationwide and preparing them to impeccable standards, just as we did with yours. We wish you all the best going forward!
Thank you for the response — but this isn’t an issue of “misunderstanding” or “normal wear.” It’s an issue of accuracy and honesty. When I purchased the car, I was told the front brakes were at 50% life remaining. Within the first month of ownership, I had the car inspected twice — both times showing that the brakes were at roughly 5% remaining. I only went through the hassle of a second inspection because your team insisted I get another opinion, and both confirmed the same thing. Let’s also be clear: I reached out directly after discovering this and provided full documentation. Aside from one very short and dismissive email reply, no one followed up or made any real effort to resolve the situation. Now, your public response reframes it as a “misunderstanding,” yet your own records don’t align with what I was told before purchase. Claiming that the brakes somehow went from 50% to nearly worn out in 2,000 miles is not realistic — especially when your own numbers reference a drop from 5mm to 4mm. That’s 5% wear, not 45%. I purchased a $130,000 vehicle in good faith, trusting the inspection and your reputation. The way this has been handled — evasive language, inconsistent information, and lack of follow-up — is deeply disappointing. I have every email, report, and inspection record saved, and I’ll continue sharing my experience to ensure other buyers know exactly what to expect from Motorcars Limited. Everywhere your name is mentioned online, you will see this. We have just begun, this is escalation stage one, we have a few more moves on this chess board.
Additionally — the so-called “low-cost option” is a bad joke. In less than a month I’ve already had $6,000 in repairs on a car I paid $133,000 for. That’s not normal for a properly inspected, low-mileage purchase — it’s a pattern of poor preparation and misleading representations. You can call this a misunderstanding all you want, but the bills, inspection reports, and email trail tell a different story. It’s frankly outrageous, and I’ll continue to document and share this experience wherever Motorcars Limited is mentioned so other buyers aren’t caught off guard.
My wife and I bought a 2018 jaguar F-Pace.
My wife and I bought a 2018 jaguar F-Pace. It was a beautiful car. My wife was very happy and excited to buy this car. As a car enthusiast I made sure to ask Jeff(president now) if there is a “bumper to bumper” style warranty I can get for this car due to how expensive maintenance is for Jaguar. Jeff immediately said yes, he also said his service department is certified to work on high end cars. WRONG! 7k miles into owning the vehicle the check engine light comes on. I call MCL and the service guy said sorry there is still a manufacture warranty left and you must take it to Jaguar. We did that twice. 20k miles into owning the vehicle it began to overheat and pour out coolant, I took it to MCL they had it for 3 weeks, I had to pay for a rental until they fixed it. 40k miles into owning the car it starts to overheat and leak coolant again and MCL had the car for 2 weeks and again I had to pay for a rental. MCL does not provide loaners. 55k miles into owning the car it starts to overheat and leak oil and coolant all over my driveway, And again MCL took the car for another 10 days. 60k miles into owning the car it started to overheat and leak coolant. This time I was seriously worried, I knew that all this overheating is causing major damage to the engine. I then emailed and called Jay who is the GM at MCL. I explained my worries and explained that we need to figure out what’s going on, something is obviously not right with this car. He then sent me a nasty email stating that this is a jaguar issue, he also stated that it was best “if we part ways” I was blown away!!. I asked him what should I do? I still supposedly have a “bumper to bumper” warranty? He said don’t worry the warranty is still good anywhere. So I had no choice but to take it to Jaguar in Bellevue. They had it a few days and ran some tests, it turns out not only is the car still over heating and leaking fluids, the motor is now bad. Even better the MCL ghosted me, the warranty company that has the warranty which I bought through MCL will not cover the repairs. Jaguar also wants ME to spend $5k just to tear down the engine to see how bad the motor is. Jaguar then sent me an invoice of $16900 just to fix the car and do a tear down of the motor. The Warranty company said they will not pay for any repairs that was caused by overheating. What?? So I have MCL who sold me this piece of garbage, sold me a garbage warranty and then ghosted me and is not taking responsibility for anything. Now I don’t have a car and ITS STILL UNDER WARRANTY! I spent thousands on warranty deductibles and rental cars and MCL could care a less. DO NOT BUY A CAR HERE. They sell expensive cars but can’t work on them. Even the warranty they sell has TONS of fine print so they can pick and choose what they want to cover. In case they try to remove this review I have ALL the receipts of all the times it’s been in their shop, all my communication with them. It’s all documented. Jay was the worst, they don’t care that we are a working family with kids. I have tried to talk to him but he doesn’t return emails or phone calls. Everything has been sent to the AGs office but we all know that is an uphill battle.

Mpszonka, Our family here at Motorcars Limited takes customer satisfaction and their experience very seriously. We were truly sorry to hear about the issues you have faced with your Jaguar. Our goal is 100% customer satisfaction and obviously we were not able to reach that goal in your situation. We only offer vehicles that meet our stringent standards, have been through our shop, still have factory warranty (When possible) and we offer Service Contracts when they apply. Your vehicle checked all those boxes: Beautiful condition (Per your own description), through our shop, still under factory warranty and qualified for an extended service contract (Which you purchased). Where things went wrong, were over the last 4+ years and approximately 60,000 miles. In looking at the very limited service history we had with the vehicle it appears that we did get the vehicle into the shop promptly, but Jaguar Corporate had part delays due to the Covid induced global supply chain issues. Those issues and delays were frustratingly out of our control. It also appears the actual issue that we are dealing with now is due to the vehicle overheating numerous times. Unfortunately, when a vehicle is operated without sufficient coolant and thus overheats the service contract company may not cover the repair as they classify this as “Abuse”. It is also our understanding that the warranty company has not actually declined the repair but made the above statement and is requiring further diagnosis. Again, our family here at Motorcars Limited only wants the best for you and your family. We hope that the Jaguar dealer you took it to is able to get the vehicle repaired as soon as possible and wish you only the best going forward.
We had the most satisfying purchase experience ever in
We had the most satisfying purchase experience ever in buying a truck from Motorcars Limited. The entire staff was extremely pleasant to work with. Gary was especially helpful. We recommend this dealership if you are looking for a super clean car. I think that they are pretty particular about the cars passing through this dealership. Every vehicle we saw was in pristine condition.

A Great Car Buying Experience
I just purchased a 2022 Cayman S from Motorcars Limited. It was one of the best car buying experiences that I've ever had. Mark was a no-pressure salesman, Scott was great in their finance department (he gave me great advice on record keeping for the car), and Gary, the sales manager, was easy to talk to. The showroom is immaculate, and the selection of high-end vehicles is worth the trip (I traveled 80 miles to visit see the car). I will definitely buy another car from this company.
