First, and most important, Mr Hobart bought his vehicle "as is". Like all of our customers who purchase pre-owned vehicles from us, he was offered a service contract (aka warranty). Unfortunately, he declined the offer. Prior to his purchase, we discussed the work we performed on the vehicle, and he decided to move forward with the purchase. Afterwards, we did not hear from Mr Hobart until two weeks after he purchased rthe vehicle. In his call to us, he informed us he had just spent a large amount of money on some parts of the the heater system. Unfortunately, we heard nothing about this until AFTER he incurred the repair expense. We of course don't have a crystal ball to see the future and we were as surprised as he was when we heard this. When he was asked what he wanted from us, he simply stated "I'm giving you a heads up". Not exactly sure what that meant, but it was clear we were never given the opportunity to address his concerns.  For our future customers, we certainly hope they take a different approach. Used automobile purchases are often challenging, especially with older models. We certainly aren't perfect, but we do everything we can within reason--and will often go beyond that point-- to make sure our customers are satisfied.
