We were interested in a vehicle at CarMax about 275 miles
We were interested in a vehicle at CarMax about 275 miles from where we live. We paid to have the car delivered to the location near us. There was nothing specific that the CarMax dealer did other than be sure the car was moved as quickly as possible. We did not visit the location where the car was being offered and the car was not delivered to our home.

Company takes long periods to contact in between
Company takes long periods to contact in between correspondence. Then after a few days will stop communicating completely. Vehicles are not completely online purchasable either.

On yesterday, April 24, I had the opportunity to purchase a vehicle I had been wanting for quite some time. Working with the team at Carmax on Independence Blvd in Charlotte, NC was worth the short drive from Columbia, SC. Everyone from Shakiyah (New Sales Consultant), Neil Petersen, Sales Consultant, Caleb (Sales Manager) and my absolute favorite, Kahlil, made my experience one of a kind! On yesterday, April 24, I had the opportunity to purchase a vehicle I had been wanting for quite some time. Working with the team at Carmax on Independence Blvd in Charlotte, NC was worth the short drive from Columbia, SC. Everyone from Shakiyah (New Sales Consultant), Neil Petersen, Sales Consultant, Caleb (Sales Manager) and my absolute favorite, Kahlil, made my experience one of a kind! No Service
I purchased my car about 3 months now and within the 1st few weeks I had to have have the radio repaired. Not long after the engine light came on I attempted to contact carmax on independence drive several times, no response. I was forced to go directly to Cadillac to have my car inspected. Cadillac assessed my car and told me that my new car had timing belt issues. Not long after a week later the engine light is back on I again attempted to contact carmax again no response. This is the worst experience that I have ever had in my life in customer service. I just want the service that I paid for. I purchased an additional warranty for $4500. 00 yet I still cannot get anything resolved on my car. Never again.
No Service

Left the lot a week ago, already got it towed
Purchased my vehicle from the Independence Blvd location in Charlotte, NC on Sept 6th. On September 13th this vehicle required roadside assistance to have it jumped. The mechanic just laughed at how loose the battery was in the car and said it was a three year old battery.The next day the car wouldn't start and couldn't be jumped. I've been told now by CarMax that I should just buy a new battery because the next appointment to have it looked at isn't until next week and if the new battery doesn't work I would need to pay to have it towed back to CarMax and I'd be refunded later. I had a great and pleasant sales experience buying the car but I can't imagine going back or recommending CarMax to anyone if they can't simply take care of towing a customers car back and fixing the situation after only purchasing the vehicle less than TWO weeks ago. The salesman who sold me the car won't return calls, texts emails from me also.

Tacky, Unprofessional, Aggressive Sales
As a consumer I put a lot of work into buying a new vehicle, contacting my own bank, getting approval for a loan, and making time to drive an hour to purchase. I am a busy executive managing 3 states while trying to make a good investment into a car fit for my goals. My bank is not open after 1 pm Saturday’s and I called ahead asking CarMax (John) if I could view car in person that I also paid $249 to transferred. The car was going to be held thru June 4, 2019 per Rolly. John told me it was fine to stop and view car. After viewing, a person named Vicki is assigned to me to view car. After viewing car, Vicki puts a tacky aggressive hard sale close on me stating I could only buy car today thru their financing? Why is a consumer looking to invest money into a new purchase treated this way? This is so terrible !!! No one should ever be pressured into buying a car like that. I spent three weeks investing my time into a purchase and then treated poorly. What is wrong with dealerships that treat people like a transaction? Go somewhere else where you are treated as a consumer/person.

Belittled
After researching for a certified Honda Accord for several months and finally found the car that had all the things I desired on your website. I visited the Charlotte NC and worked with Mac Craig who was able to have it transferred to the local location from Georgia. I walked into your location Sunday ready to purchase the vehicle with my own financing. When I inspected the vehicle immediately I noticed the floor mats were completely off colored and nonfactory mats. I spoke to the sales representative Mac Craig to request replacement of the original floor mats due to the lock safety feature that prevents the mats sliding or blocking the brake or accelerator. After discussing this concern with Mac, he insensitively told me there isn’t anything he could do. I escalated it to the sales manager Greg Burris, who left me with the impression that $150 carmats should have no bearing on my decision to purchase the vehicle. Unfortunately, being a schoolteacher a $25k purchase is more than half of my year’s salary. Maybe not to a corporation such as yourself but to me - yes it’s a big deal, I really didn’t feel my feelings or concerns were valued or even considered. I was left with an “Oh well” attitude and coincidentally I left without purchasing the vehicle. I was referred to Carmax due to my friend’s wonderful experience yet I felt horrible as I walked out the facility.

Great buying experience
I researched and found the low mileage Porsche Macan Turbo in the color and desired options. Only about 6 cars in the Southeast that met the desired specification. Great price- lower than some higher mileage Macan Turbos in the used car market. Fair value on my trade and easy buying experience.

Greatly lacking
The Salesman was only interested in getting us out the door. We had the car transfered in from another store so the deal was sealed . I'm not going to waste my time listing all the mistakes. I buy from CarMax and pay a premium because I have come expect a level of service . This store did not provide it for a second time. First time shame on you , second time shame on me. No third time
