I would never work with this body shop again. I signed Authorization for repair on 12/27 and my car was not completely ready until February 27. After... the body shop had it for 7 weeks, I still had to bring it back because there were large areas of orange peel, dozens of paint nibs, and the clear strip was never applied to the door. Our car was supposed to be ready on Jan. 18, and this happened: And then our car was not ready on Jan 18 but delayed until Jan. 25. The delay was then extended to Feb. 1. Then to Feb. 6 at noon. Then 5 p.m. Another delay: Feb 8 at 8 a.m., then noon, then 1:30, and finally 2:30. To be clear, we are at a total of 11 delays at this point. When I picked up the car at 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 8, I shared with Walt my displeasure with the time the repairs took, noting that the original estimate of 2-3 weeks was exceeded by at least 4 weeks. Rather than apologize for the unreasonable delays, Walt stated that the body shop’s average turnaround time was 7 weeks. Is this really true or was he being sarcastic and disrespectful to a paying customer??? Again, I was initially quoted 2-3 weeks. After approaching the owner 3 times, he finally agreed to pay half of my deductible, which I did not accept because that would be saying that I was the cause of half the problems that led to a 5-6 week delay. He also stated that he would have been more willing to cooperate if I hadn't referred his business to the BBB and Department of Consumer Services. His shop got paid $10,000 from the insurance company, yet he was unwilling to forgo the deductible (500$) to make this situation even close to right and accommodate the number of days I didn't work because I was supposed to pick up my car, the time I had to spend on the phone reaching out to them because the body shop did not communicate with us, my husband had to take time off of work, because Mr. Karras was so difficult for me to work with; so no, frankly Mr. Karras' offer of $250 is insulting and speaks to his greed. In fact his own body shop manager, Walt, directly told me that they took in 11 cars when they took in mine and they were just too swamped ( despite the fact that they were down 2 workers). Just think about how long you want to wait for your car before you bring it in to them. I do admit it looks like it should have looked in the first place, but 8 weeks, well, you decide.
Entire experience was professional, courteous and relaxing. From our fist visit to look at vehicle options, thru the test driving and signing the experience... was outstanding. Highly recommend this dealership.

The appointment was set up for the time I requested. The vehicle was taken in as soon as I arrived even though I was early. The work was done in a professional... and timely fashion. The lounge is well stocked and a pleasant place to wait. I chose to wait but I was offered a courtesy ride back to my residence. I received a free car was with the service. All in all, I enjoy having my car serviced at Alex Karras Lincoln.
